Ortega and Nick Padilla, dba Havana Cafe, 602 E. 4th St., was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the applications of Barney R. Brooks and Alfred A. Homart to drive taxicabs were granted and permits ordered issued. Request was read from Clifford D. Cole that a street light be installed near the south end of Westwood Avenue. On reoommendati of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, street light was ordered installed. # On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, letter from P.&.J. Artukovich, Inc., advising they are prepared to and agree to perform work at prices named in their bid covering sewer construction work under Assessment District No. 194, was received, filed and made a part of the original bid. # On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution of the C.lty Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, awarding contract for street work or improvement ordered by Resolution No. 3879 of said City Council# was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3892 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, John W. Martin Jr. Virgil H. Reed, Allen A. Mandy. None None A notice was read of cancellation of Policy LOA-39570 written the Great American Indemnity Co., in favor of Ralph Penso dba Rainbow Advertising Co., covering placing of se.~nty-five benches on city streets-, and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, matter was referred to City Attorney and Engineer for immediate action. # On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, suggested fo~m of agreement between Orange County and City of Santa And concernin~ sverlapping easements at the southwest corner of Delhi Road and Bristol Street, was referred to the City Attorney and Engineer for-recommendation and to report back at next meeting. # On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, th~ Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids covering the furnishin of a squad truck for the Fire Depar~ment$ bids to be opened Feb. 6th, 1950. # )n
