Messrs. Milton E. Johnson, <br /> <br />James D. Braden, J. Arthur Whitney and Mrs. D.V.Linville also <br />prote~ted granting of this variance. On motion of Trustee Heed, <br />seconded by Cheney and carried, the action of the Council at <br />meeting held March 20th, 1950, with reference to the Mildred McNe~ <br />variance was rescinded. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by <br />Martin and carried, action bf the Planning Commission on the <br />McNeal variance was Upheld and variance' denied. <br /> <br /> A petition for decontrol of ~entals' was read and on motion of <br /> Tz-,stee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, petition was taken <br /> under advisement to permit Building Department, Utility Departmen' <br /> Housing Authority, Planning Office and other City Departments to <br /> review and check the petition and Clerk instructed to forward <br /> copy of petition to the Area Rent Advisory Board and Office of <br /> Housing Expediter. <br /> <br />Opinion was read from City Attorney reference gasoline storage <br />tanks in Residental Distrlo.ts. On motion of Tr-.,stee Martin, <br />seconded by Reed and carried, the recommendation of the Planning <br />Commission was approved and variance granted to Claude M. and <br />Elaine E. Hunter to permit installation of a 550 gallon, under- <br />ground gasoline storage tank and hand pump at 165$ East Fourth <br />Street, with the condition Ghat no gasoline or other liquid store~ <br />in said tank be sold to others, and that said tank be placed in <br />the rear one-half cf ~he lot.' <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />the recommendation cf the Planning .Commission was approved and <br />variance granted to John H. and Mary F.
