<br />A petition was read signed by twenty-two residents requesting
<br />that a boulevard stop be established at the corner of South Parto~
<br />and St. Andrews Place, and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by
<br />Martin and carried, petition was referred to the Traffic Safety
<br />
<br />Commission to investigate and report back.

<br />On motion of T~wastee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, agree-
<br />ment between the City of Santa Ana and Blacklidge Home Appliance
<br />Company to erect an electric sign at 819 North Main Street, which
<br />will extend over ~nd upon the ten foot set-back line, was
<br />
<br /> approved and Mayor and Clerk authorized to sign agreement.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the
<br />offer of Tree Sweet Products Co., in the amount of $75.00, for
<br />
<br />garbage truck body located at the City Dump, was accepted.~

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Oheney and carried,
<br />the verbal offer of Joe Hershiser, in the amount of $25.00, for
<br />
<br />meat block located at the Community Center Building, was accepted,
<br />#
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, state-
<br />ment of condition of funds as of December 31st, 1959, submitted
<br />
<br />by Dlehl & Co., was received and filed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried,
<br />the reports of the Building Department, Judge~s Office and
<br />Juvenile Department, for the month of March, 1950, were received
<br />and filed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />annual reports of the Planning Commission for fiscal years 1957-
<br />
<br />1958 and 1958-1959, were received and filed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried,
<br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted and
<br />
<br />tentative Map of Tract No. 1516 was approved.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and
<br />Clerk authorized to issue warrants covering demands.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried,
<br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and
<br />variance granted to Sarah Lula Walker to permit a day nursery at
<br />1524 So. Van Ness Avenue, upon the conditions that no signs be
<br />displayed and that the number of children shall not exceed six in
<br />
<br />number.

<br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution authorizing cancellation of out-
<br /> standing warrants against the City Treasurer
<br /> of the City of Santa Ana and directing
<br /> issuance of a new warrant in payment of rent
<br /> and taxes pursuant to lease from M.H.Whittier
<br /> Company, Ltd., to City dated Auguet 21, 1951,"

<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3919 and passed
<br />by the following vote:
