RESOLUTION NO. 55-67 APPROVING MAP, DECLARING lqQT~TION TO VACATE A PORTION OF VALE~ AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS II?i'EF~ES,±,~3 IN OR OBJECTING THERETO. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended that the portion of Valencia Street herein described be vacated and the City Council, after study, has concluded that the same is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes ~nd has caused a map thereof to be prepared: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the map attached hereto is hereby approved and ordered filed with this resolution and the City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate and abandon a portion of Valencia Street in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot I o£ Block 4 of the French Street Tract as per map thereof recorded in Book 4, page 45 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California~ thence Southerly along the Westerly line of said Lot l, 75.33 feet to a point~ thence Westerly along the extended Southerly line of said Lot I and the Southerly line of said French Street Tract, 50 feet to a point~ thence Northerly along the Easterly line o£ Lot 2 of Block 3 of said French Street Tract, 75.33 feet to a point on the Southerly line of 14th Street~ thence Easterly in a straight line to the point of beginning. That the ~th day of April , 1955, at the hour of 7:30 P. M. on said day in the Council Chs~mbers in the City Hall, Third and Main Streets in the City of Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of a po}t~on of Valenci~Street, and That the City Council hereby declares its intention to proceed with this street vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and That the Clerk of the Council is hereby ordered to publish this Resolution in the manner prescribed by law for the publishing of Ordinances of the City and the Director of Public Works is hereby ordered to post conspicuously along the lines of the portion of Valencia Street proposed to be vacated, at least lO days before the date of said hearing, notices stating the passage of this Resolution of Intention and the time and place of hearing~ such notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least 3 shall be posted along said street herein proposed to be vacated.
