In Re Reso. No. 3374 Adopting Map Closing Alley In Re Reso. No. 3378 of Intention Closing Alley In Re Ordinance No. Dance Hall Regulations 1144 The Comm~ittee reported on abandonment of alley extend- ing in an easterly and westerly direction through Block 4 of the Salisbury Addition, located in the 1000 block between W. 4th and ~. 8th Sts., stating that this is a dead-end alley and reconn~ended that alley be closed. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and card, ed, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution Adopting Eap" was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 35?4 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Noes, Trustees None Absent,Trustees None On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and was read, considered, designated Resolutiou No. 3375 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees None Absent,Trustees None Dale G. Haan, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman Mr. A1 Frederickson, Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars appeared before the Council relative to proposed Dance Hall Ordinance and stated that their organization had rented their Hall bo the Mexicans and Filipinos who have conducted very orderly dances for some time on Sunday~nights and requested information as to how the proposed Ordinance would affect the rental of their Hall. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: Where Dances a~e regularly Conducted and Carried on in the City of Santa Aha, California" was read, considered, designat®d Ordinance No. 1144 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, T~ustees Noes, Trustees None , Absent,Trustees None "An Ordinance ~nending Ordinance No. 10~1 Entitled, "An Ordinance Regulating Dance Halls, Dancing Pavilions and Places Dale G.
