City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. Present: Trustees W. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Absent: Trustees Dale G. Deckert The Clerk co~mnenced the reading of the Minutes and each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of ~ay Vth, 1945, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and carried. League In Re Communication City & County Planning Service In Re Communication Chamber of Con~nerce In Re Public Auction Various Lots In Re Communication Optimist Club of S.E. Communication from Orange County League of Cities extend- ing an invitation to the Council to attend meeting to be held at Memorial Hall, in Huntington Beach, May 24th, at 7:00 P.M. was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication was received, filed and Clerk instructed to poll Council to ascertain how many would attend. Communication from City & County Planning Service relative to Rules, Regulations and Forms of the Postwar Public Works Review Board, approved April 4th, 1945, and proposed appointment of authorized agent to represent the City of Santa Aha in its improvement program, was read. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried. the communication was received and filed and Clerk instructed to acknowledge communication stating that the City might utilize their services at some future date. Communication from Secy. Chamber of Cormnerce relative to county-wide unified Veterans' Welfare Committee, was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, matter was referred to the Auditor to report bac~ at next meeting. Communications from County Tax Collector stating that Lot 4, Block "I"; Lots 88 and 59 of the Fairlawn Park Tract, and Lot 10, Block "A", Tract No. 289, locatSd in the City of Santa Ana would be sold at public auction, was read. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried the Clerk was instructed to advise the Coulaty Tax Collector that the City Council consents to the sale at public auction of these lots. Communication from Pres. Optimist Club of Santa Ana, Inc., requesting use of a parcel of lan8 within the City limits and within the western portion of the City, on which to
