City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees W. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. Haan, <br /> W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees Dale G. League <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />City & County <br /> <br />Planning Service <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Chamber of Con~nerce <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Public Auction <br /> <br />Various Lots <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Optimist Club <br /> <br />of S.E. <br /> <br />Communication from Orange County League of Cities extend- <br />ing an invitation to the Council to attend meeting to be <br />held at Memorial Hall, in Huntington Beach, May 24th, at <br />7:00 P.M. was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded <br />by Cheney and carried, communication was received, filed <br />and Clerk instructed to poll Council to ascertain how <br />many would attend. <br /> <br />Communication from City & County Planning Service relative <br />to Rules, Regulations and Forms of the Postwar Public <br />Works Review Board, approved April 4th, 1945, and proposed <br />appointment of authorized agent to represent the City of <br />Santa Aha in its improvement program, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried. <br />the communication was received and filed and Clerk <br />instructed to acknowledge communication stating that the <br />City might utilize their services at some future date. <br /> <br />Communication from Secy. Chamber of Cormnerce relative to <br />county-wide unified Veterans' Welfare Committee, was read <br />and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, matter was referred to the Auditor to report bac~ <br />at next meeting. <br /> <br />Communications from County Tax Collector stating that <br /> <br />Lot 4, Block "I"; Lots 88 and 59 of the Fairlawn Park <br />Tract, and Lot 10, Block "A", Tract No. 289, locatSd in <br />the City of Santa Ana would be sold at public auction, <br />was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried <br />the Clerk was instructed to advise the Coulaty Tax <br />Collector that the City Council consents to the sale at <br />public auction of these lots. <br /> <br />Communication from Pres. Optimist Club of Santa Ana, Inc., <br />requesting use of a parcel of lan8 within the City limits <br />and within the western portion of the City, on which to <br /> <br /> <br />
