Leland In Re Resol of Carpenters Local No. 1818 On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, communications were received and filed and Clerk instructed to forward copy of Metropolitan Water District letter dated July 16th to W.H.Booth & Co. Inc~ On recommendation of the Chief Building Inspector and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the appointment of Herbert M. Wallingford to serve as a member on the Board of Electrical Examiners, was approved, to fill the unexpired term of Glenn Cave now serving in the armed forces. ,, On recommendation of the Chief of Police and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, the appointment of Walter C. Fox, as patrolman, was approved, and that his status is to be the same as at the time he resigned from the Police Department. ,, Communication from Civil Service Board that Walter L. Fox, emergency patrolman, who resigned his position on Nov. 18, 1944 be reappointed and that the Civil Servic. Board has no ~urisdiction pertaining to salary increas, for Mr. Fox, was read. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the communication was received and filed. Communication from Civil Service Board that Jack V. Clabo~-n, emergency patrolman, resigned his position on March 1942 and his name stricken from the records of the Civil Service Board as an emergency patrolman, and that he is not eligible for reinstatement as a class- ified employee of the Police Dept., was read. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, the communication was received and filed. , Communication from Civil Service Board advising that the Board has no jurisdiction in matter of increase in salary of Elizabeth M. Leland, emergency pelicewoman, was read. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, the communication was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, Resolution of the Carpenters Local No. 1815, endorsing the State Employees Retirement System for City of Santa Ana employees, was received and filed.
