Schenck In Re Applications Electric Signs In Re Applications Taxi and Bus In Re Application Bus Driver On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the resignation of W.B.Carlisle, Fire Depart- ment, effective December l£th, 1944, was accepted. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the resignation of Clyde E. Patmor, Fire Department, to enter the armed forces, effective January 10th, 19~_$, was accepted. On recommendation of the Chief of the Fire Department and approval of Civil Service Commission, and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, J.H.Weisberger, Alphonse A. Abels, 0rlo L. Moore end Clarence K. Noble, were appointed as temporary hosemen in the Fire Department. ,, On recommendation of the Chief of the Fire Department and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney an~ carried, the resignation of Samuel B. Ruff, fireman, effective January 8th, 1948, to enter the armed forces, was accepted. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, the request of Ralph E. Schenck to conduct a commercial poultry yard at 3E8 E. Chestnut St., was denied for the reason that it is in violation of the Zoning and Poultry Ordinances. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and csrrie~ application of Powell Neon Sign Co. to hang a neon sign for Richards Machine Works, 929 E. 1st and application of General Neon Co. to hang a neon sign for Grand Central Garage at 809 E. 1st St., were granted and signs ordered hung under supervision of Electrical Inspector. On recomm~endation of the Police Department and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the applications of Arnold C. Johnson and Billy C. Robinson to drive taxis for the Broadway Cab Co., and application of David Crabtree to drive a bus for the Santa Ana Bus Co., were granted and Clerk instructed to issue permits. ,, On recom~uendation of the City Attorney and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Di~on and carried, the application of Harley D. Brazeal to drive a bus for the Santa Ana Bus Co., was granted and Clerk instructed to issue temporary permit.
