Swigart In Re Agreement Federal Works Agency In Re Applications Auto DeRlers In Re Applications Midget Auto Races On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, the matter of the purchase of a business coupe, DeLuxe model, for the use of the Joint 0utfall Sewer Engineer, one-half ownership to be placed in Section 1 and one-half ownership to be placed in Section II, was referred to the Mayor of the City of Santa Aha and Auditor for study to report back at the next meeting. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the report of Ewald Lemcke, Engineer, on the requirements of the Joint 0utfall Sewer for the in~nediat future, was referred to the Chairman of the Board of the City of Santa Ana and Auditor for study and to report back at the next meeting. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, the monthly report of the Juvenile Bureau and Police Dept. report for month of Sept. 194S, were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, the contract bond of John J. Swigart for labor and material and faithful performance bond, in the amounts of $8,063.30 respectively, written by the Indemnity Insurance Co. of North America, covering the improvement of a portion of South Main Street from Anahurst to Hobart Streets, were received, approved and filed. The Mayor requested that the City Engineer be authorized to sign agreement for Federal Works monies for plans and blue prints for post-war work, and on motion of Trustee Deckert,~ seconded by Haan and carried, the Mayor was instructed to sign the agreement of authorization upon the approval of the City Attorney. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and carried, applications of Ben Heflinger and Earl Goodrum to conduct the business of dealing in motor vehicles at 308 E. 1st St. and llS So. Main St. respectively, were granted. ,, On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, cormmunication from Forestry Board recon~ending to the City Council that Midget Auto Races not be allowe¢ in the Municipal Bowl for the reason that the Bowl sh~ul~ be maintained for academic functions rather than commercial, was received and filed.
