Swigart <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Agreement <br /> <br />Federal Works Agency <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Applications <br /> <br />Auto DeRlers <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Applications <br /> <br />Midget Auto Races <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, the matter of the purchase of a business coupe, <br />DeLuxe model, for the use of the Joint 0utfall Sewer <br />Engineer, one-half ownership to be placed in Section 1 <br />and one-half ownership to be placed in Section II, was <br />referred to the Mayor of the City of Santa Aha and <br />Auditor for study to report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the report of Ewald Lemcke, Engineer, on the <br />requirements of the Joint 0utfall Sewer for the in~nediat <br />future, was referred to the Chairman of the Board of <br />the City of Santa Ana and Auditor for study and to <br />report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the monthly report of the Juvenile Bureau and <br />Police Dept. report for month of Sept. 194S, were <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the contract bond of John J. Swigart for labor <br />and material and faithful performance bond, in the <br />amounts of $8,063.30 respectively, written by the <br />Indemnity Insurance Co. of North America, covering the <br />improvement of a portion of South Main Street from <br />Anahurst to Hobart Streets, were received, approved and <br />filed. <br /> <br />The Mayor requested that the City Engineer be authorized <br />to sign agreement for Federal Works monies for plans and <br />blue prints for post-war work, and on motion of Trustee <br />Deckert,~ seconded by Haan and carried, the Mayor was <br />instructed to sign the agreement of authorization upon <br />the approval of the City Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, applications of Ben Heflinger and Earl Goodrum <br />to conduct the business of dealing in motor vehicles at <br />308 E. 1st St. and llS So. Main St. respectively, were <br />granted. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, cormmunication from Forestry Board recon~ending <br />to the City Council that Midget Auto Races not be allowe¢ <br />in the Municipal Bowl for the reason that the Bowl sh~ul~ <br />be maintained for academic functions rather than <br />commercial, was received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
