Yeah, Dale G. ~eckert. <br /> <br />The qlerk commenced the readinq of the ~,.;inutes and each <br />member of the City Counefl havim~ received copies of <br />the ?'~nutes of AuMust 5th, 194g, further readinM of <br />the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion <br />o6 ~rustee D~xon, seconded by Chancy and carried. <br /> <br />Wm. J. Tway, Chairman of Charter Committee appeared <br />before the Council reference to proposed City Charter <br />setting forth various changes as follows: A clarifying <br />section on civil service incorporating the present <br />civil-service ordinance; a sentence limitin~ firemen's <br />working hours to V2 a week and several minor clarifying <br />sections. <br /> <br />Ou motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the proposed City Charter, as presented, was <br />accepted. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney <br />and carried, that when copies of the Charter are printed <br />it shall contsin the names of the Charter Com~ittee. <br /> <br />The appreciation of the Council was extended to ~.r.
