Sturges on the grounds that the <br /> necessity does not exist for the operation of another <br /> Taxicab Company. <br /> <br /> Matter was discussed between the City Attorney and <br /> Delbert Larsh and it was decided that the hearing date <br /> shall be held on February 18th, 1946. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br /> carried, matter was received and filed and unless an <br /> appeal is filed within five days, the action of the <br /> Taxicab Cemmitteeshall be mandatory; otherwise matter <br /> will be delayed until next meeting. <br /> <br /> ,, <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the Chief of Police and on motion <br /> of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br /> application of Paul P. Ortega and Joe H. Perez to <br /> operate a pool hall at 1030 Logan St. was approved. <br /> <br /> Pe~i~ion having been checked by the City Clerk and suffi <br /> cien~ number of slgna~ures of qualified electors at~ache <br /> en motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br /> carried, the petition for annexation of contiguous <br /> property located southeast of Santa Ana was referred to <br /> the Planning Commission to determine if the buildings <br /> and public improvements in the territory proposed to be <br /> annexed are inferior to the standard of design of <br /> building construction requirements and public improve- <br /> ments required by ordinances and regulations of the <br /> City ~f Santa Ana and that the Planning Commission make <br /> its report to the City Council within forty days. <br /> <br /> ,, <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and <br /> carried, request of W.R.Gordon, at 8th and Spurgeon Sts <br /> for a loading zone by the entrance of their garage e~ <br /> the Spurgeon Street side was referred to the Street <br /> Comm~.ssioner and Street Superintendent to report back <br /> at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Dmckert, seconded by Dixon and <br /> carried, comm~mication and Resolution No. 88 of the <br /> Planning Commission denying application of Harold <br /> Fermmer to erect a service station at 1441 S. Flower St <br /> more particularly described as Lots 13 and 14, Block 22 <br /> of Tract ~o. 382, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the Planning Commission was authorized to spen8 <br />up to $1,000.00 for the services of an Engineer for the <br />balance of the fiscal year and if such an Engineer is <br />employed he shall use the Planning Commission's office <br />and work only with such Commission and not with the <br />Engineer's office. <br /> <br /> <br />
