Sturges <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, application of Edward A. '~hite to conduct the <br />business of dealing in motor vehicles at ll4 S. Main St. <br />was held over for thirty days and Clerk authorized to <br />advertise in accordance with automobile dealer's <br />0rdinance. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />ea~ried, application of J.K.Haynes and W.M. Lam to <br />operate a Taxicab Company, to be known as the "Lo Fare <br />Cab Co." at 224 East Third St., was referred to the <br />Taxicab Committee to report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />An amendment to application of George B. Thatcher and <br />Don L. Hollingsworth for permission to add temporar~y <br />shelter, open on three sides, l0 ft wide and 18 ft. long <br />to the temporary building to be erected on the southeas' <br />corner of 17th and Patton Streets, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> the <br />carried~ permission was granted to add/shelter to the <br /> <br />proposed temporary building to be erected. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> carried, the Clerk was authorized to open bids covering <br /> the furnishing of 8000 feet of twelve inch diameter <br /> Enameline (cement lined) class 180, bell and spigot cas~ <br /> iron pipe; and 2000 feet of eight inch diameter Enamelin <br /> class 180, bell and s~igot cast iron pipe. <br /> <br /> Bid of National Cast Iron Pipe: <br /> 8,000 ft. 12" x 18' B&~, Class 180 p~pe $ ~.34 ft. <br />2,000 ft. 8" x 18' " " 1.37 ft. <br />Bond in ~nount of $1800.00. <br />Bid of American Cast Iron Pipe Co.: <br />5,000 ft. 12" B&S Mono-Cast"Enameline" <br />Centrifugal pipe class lB0 in 16' lengths <br />for 180 pounds working pressure $ ~.39~ ft. <br />2,000 ft. 8" B&S Mono-Cast"Enameline" <br />Centrifugal pipe class 1S0 in 16' lengths <br />for 1BO pounds working pressure 1.392 ft. <br />Bond in amount ~f $1600.00. <br />Bid of United States Pipe & Foundry Co.: <br />$,000 ft of lB" Class lB0, Super deLavaud, <br />Centrifugally Cast, B.&.S.
