No. 93 <br /> <br />Amend. to Zoning Ord. <br /> <br />Lawrence Lumber Co. <br /> <br />to use the existing store building at 602 Fruit Street <br />only for a grocery store or confectionery until Nov. l, <br />1948, the term of the existing leaee and stating that <br />Samuel Lenet, lessee,desired to use the store building <br />for a furniture store, such request being included in <br />the application, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, variance application was held over for further <br />study until October ?th, 1946. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Haan appointed Trustee Deckert, as a <br />com~ulttee of one, to confer with the Building Inspector <br />on this matter. <br /> <br />Communication and Resolution No. 96 of the Planning <br />Commission denying variance application of Sophia A. <br />Todd to operate a beauty parlor at 1030 North Van I~ess <br />Ave. was read and on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded <br />by Dixon and carried, action of the Planning Commission <br />was approved. <br /> <br />Comm~unication and Resolution No. 95 of the Planning <br /> <br />Commission recommending reclassifying from the R-~ and <br /> <br />C-2 Districts to the M-1 District, and within the follow <br /> <br />lng described exterior boundary lines, to-wit: <br /> <br />Beginning on the north line of Dyer Road at a point <br />136 feet east of the east line ef South Main Street; <br />thence easterly alon~ the north llne of Dyer Road <br />3289 feet, more or less, to its intersection with <br />the city limit line; thence northerly along the city <br />limit line, 1300 feet, more or less, to its inter- <br />section with the southerly line of the Pacific <br />Electric Ry. Company's right of way; thence westerly <br />along the southerly line of said right of way line <br />to its intersection with the northerly extension of <br />the east line of lots i to 8 of Tract No. 189, which <br />is 128 feet east of the east line of South Main <br />Street; thence southerly parallel to the east llne <br />of South Main Street, and along the east line of Lots <br />I to 8 inclusive, of Tract No. 1~9 to the south line <br />of said Tract; thence east along the south line of <br />said Tract elevon (ll) fe~t to a point which is 136 <br />feet east of the east line of South Main Street; <br />thence south, parallel to the e~st line of South <br />Main St., to the point of beginning, <br /> <br />was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br /> <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a notice <br /> <br />of hearing <br />days prior <br />7th, 1946, <br /> <br />in a newspaper of general circulation, ten <br /> <br />to next meeting of the Council on October <br /> <br />relative to reclassification of territory <br /> <br />as above described and that Sheet 43 of the Districting <br /> <br />Map of the <br />as N-1 all <br /> <br />City of Santa Ana be amended to reclassify <br /> <br />property now classified as R-1 and C-2. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a notice of <br />hearing in a newspaper of general circulation, ten days <br />prior to next meeting of the Council on October ?th~ <br />1946, relative to amendment to Zoning Ordinance of the <br /> <br /> <br />
