In Re Request for use of Birch Park of former agreement between Board of Education and City of Santa Ana in regard to Community Recreation Prcgram. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, Chairman was authorized to sign agreement and three copies mailed to School Board for their retention. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried, application of Ralph Caldwell and Theodore W. Haber, dba Caldwell-Haber Co. to conduct the business of dealing in motor vehicles at 614 North Main St., was held over for thirty days and Clerk authorized to advertise in accordance with automobile dealer's Ordinance. Communication from Tax Agent, Pacific Electric Ry. Co. together with certified statement showing amount due City of Santa Ana under Franchise Ordinance No. 1149 for period Nov. 8, 1945 to Sept. 18, 1946 inclusive, and Pacific Electric Ry. Company,s voucher No. 11271 in the amount of $422.68, were read. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication was received and filed and check in the amount of $422.6§ ordered deposited. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried, monthly reports of City Planning Commission, Building Department, Judge of City Cou~ and Police Department for month of September, 1946 and Juvenile Bureau report for months of August and September, 1946, were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, the monthly demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk authorized to draw warrants covering demands numbering 801 to 1128 inclusive. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried, the annual report of Diehl and Company, public accountants stating they have completed their exam/nation of the books and accounts of the City of Santa Aha cover- ing the fiscal year beginning July l, 1948 and ending June 50, 1946, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried, request of W.A.Winkleman to permit J.H.Walsh to speak in Birch Park, Sunday afternoon, October l~th, on behalf of the 01d Age Pensioners, was granted.
