Construction Co. covering improve. <br />ment of No. Flower St. from Washington Ave. to 17th St. <br />and stating that payment shall be made thirty-five days <br />after Sept. llth, 1946 was received and filed and <br />warrant order d~a~ in the amount of $1,670.26 on the <br />specified date. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, applications of Raul R. Gastelo, Joseph Eugene <br />Vanpool, William Arthur Van Pool, William H. Beeler, <br />William H. Riggle, Leon Houghton Curtis, David Raymond <br />Nichols, Douglas E. Garrison, Eugene H. Brooks, Fred <br />Charles Davies, Joseph J. Cooper, Raymond Frances Redde <br />James H. Hunt and Paul Richard Armstrong to drive <br />taxicabs were granted and Clerk authorized to issue <br />licenses. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by thirty-five members of th <br />Fire Department requesting an increase in salaries and <br />on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, a meeting wse called for 4:00 P.M. October 14ti <br />with the Council and Firemen in an effort to adjust <br />salaries and Clerk to notify Firemen of this action. <br /> <br />Communication from City Engineer attaching deed for <br />additional right of way for reconstruction of Santa Aha <br />Main Sewer across a parcel of land belonging to Frederi, <br />Steigmeyer, which has gone into escrow with A.J.Gisler <br />and wife, purchasers, covering the following described <br />property: a strip of land 20 ft. in width, the center <br />line of which is 17 ft. southeasterly from and parallel <br />to the center line of the Santa Aha Outfall Sewer from <br />its intersection with the center line of Newhope Street <br />southwesterly to engineert s station 2047 20.42, contain. <br />ing 0.705 acres, more or less, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, warrant in the amount of $~82.$0 was ordered <br />drawn, payable to the Orange acunty Title Oompany, <br />and. the Mayor to sign escrow papers. <br /> <br />Co~-~nication from Secy. Santa Aha City Schools enclosiz <br />fou~ copies of Agreement which wam authorized by Board <br />of Education providing for extension of one year of <br /> <br /> <br />
