272 <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petition for <br /> <br />bus service <br />Southeast Santa Ana <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Protests <br /> <br />Set-back line <br /> <br />Bristol St. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Set-back line <br /> <br />Bristol St. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Zone Application <br /> <br />C.V.Knickerbocker <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Variance Application <br /> <br />Lawrence Lumber Co. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by approximately 168 property <br />owners and residents in the territory annexed to the <br />City of Santa Ana and known as Southeast Santa Aha <br />requesting bus service and on motion of Trustee Dixon, <br />seconded by Cheney and carried, petition was referred <br />to the Engineer and Street Corm~issioner to report back <br />at the next meeting. <br /> <br />This being the night set for the continuation for hear- <br />ing protests on set-back line on Bristol St., on both <br />sides of said street, from the north city limits to the <br />north line of W. 8th St., and from the south line of <br />W. Ath St. to the south city limits, ten feet back of <br /> <br /> the existing property lines~ the following persons were <br /> heard. <br /> Adrian Marks, representing protestants spoke in <br /> <br /> opposition to the proposed set-back lines, as did othex, <br /> interested persons. <br /> <br /> Othal Stapp spoke in favor of said set-back line and <br /> Mr. Rutby, a Planning Authority also spoke in favor of <br /> proposed set-back line. <br /> <br /> A Resolution of the Santa Ana Junior Chamber of <br /> Comerce was read by the Clerk recom~nending proposed <br /> set-back line on Bristol Street. ~ <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and <br /> carried, all protests were overruled and the following <br /> Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Aha <br /> Establishing Set-back Lines along a <br /> portion of Bristol Street" <br /> <br /> was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br /> second reading. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and <br /> carried, the application of C.B.Knickerbocker to change <br /> the district boundary and use classification of the west <br /> half of the block bounded by Main Street, Tenth Street, <br /> Sycamore Street and WaBhington Avenue, was held over <br /> for two weeks and the Council to meet with members of <br /> the Planning Commission on Monday, October lath, for <br /> discussion of this application. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br /> carried, the variance application of Lawrence Lumber <br /> <br /> Co. for per~ission to pile or stack lumber in the open <br /> and the maintenance of necessary sheds on their property <br /> at 2200 So. Main St., was held over for two weeks and <br /> the Council to meet with members of the Planning <br /> ~o~ission on Monday, October lath, for discussion of <br /> this variance. <br /> <br /> <br />
