272 In Re Petition for bus service Southeast Santa Ana In Re Protests Set-back line Bristol St. In Re Ordinance Set-back line Bristol St. In Re Zone Application C.V.Knickerbocker In Re Variance Application Lawrence Lumber Co. A petition was read signed by approximately 168 property owners and residents in the territory annexed to the City of Santa Ana and known as Southeast Santa Aha requesting bus service and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, petition was referred to the Engineer and Street Corm~issioner to report back at the next meeting. This being the night set for the continuation for hear- ing protests on set-back line on Bristol St., on both sides of said street, from the north city limits to the north line of W. 8th St., and from the south line of W. Ath St. to the south city limits, ten feet back of the existing property lines~ the following persons were heard. Adrian Marks, representing protestants spoke in opposition to the proposed set-back lines, as did othex, interested persons. Othal Stapp spoke in favor of said set-back line and Mr. Rutby, a Planning Authority also spoke in favor of proposed set-back line. A Resolution of the Santa Ana Junior Chamber of Comerce was read by the Clerk recom~nending proposed set-back line on Bristol Street. ~ On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried, all protests were overruled and the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Aha Establishing Set-back Lines along a portion of Bristol Street" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried, the application of C.B.Knickerbocker to change the district boundary and use classification of the west half of the block bounded by Main Street, Tenth Street, Sycamore Street and WaBhington Avenue, was held over for two weeks and the Council to meet with members of the Planning Commission on Monday, October lath, for discussion of this application. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, the variance application of Lawrence Lumber Co. for per~ission to pile or stack lumber in the open and the maintenance of necessary sheds on their property at 2200 So. Main St., was held over for two weeks and the Council to meet with members of the Planning ~o~ission on Monday, October lath, for discussion of this variance.
