Con~nunication and resolution No. 103 of the Plell~ing Commission granting variance application of A. N. Bertelsen to operate a Real Estate office at 1323 No. Broadway, limite¢ to three year period from Oct. lath, 19A6, was read and on motion of Trustee Ha~n, seconded by Deckert and carried, action of the Pl-n_mirgCommission was approved. Communication and Resol. No. 104 of the l~lanning Oommission recommending approval of application /of C. B. Knickerbocker to change the zone on property de- scribed as the east 88 feet of the west one-$alf of the block bounded as follows: On the East by North Main St.; on the West by No. Sycamore Street; on the North by West Washington Avenue; and on the south by West Tenth Street were read from R-3 to C-1 zone~ and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a notice of hearing in a newspaper of general circulation, ten days prior to the next meeting of the Council on Nov. 4th, 1946, relative to reclassification of the territory described above. Communication and Resolution No. 102 of the Planning Comm- ission denying variance application of Mrs. Ils M. Huyler to convert her roaming house at 801 Spurgeon Street to offices for use ~f Doctors, was read, and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, action of the Planning Commission was accepted. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haa~n and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:" "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Aha establishing set-back lines along a portion of Bristol Street." was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1184 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees: Otto R. Ha~n, Dale G. Deckert, W. J. Cheney, Asa Hoffman Noes, Trustees: None. Absent, Trustees: W. Eugene Dixon. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 10~4" and that sheet No. 32 of the Districting Map of the City of Santa Ana, be amended to reclassify as C-2 all property now classified as R-2 in accordance with the application of Lawrence Lumber Company and that Sheet No. A3 of said map be amended to reclassify as M-1 all property now classified as R-1 and C-2 in accordance with an application for re- classification of a certain district considered, designated Ordinance No. following vote: in DeMi, was read, 1188 and passed by the
