Staffler. <br /> <br />Communication from the Santa Aha Junior Chamber of Commerce <br />was read setting forth plans for a Childrens, Hollowe'en <br /> <br />Ni Jinks program be held in the Municipal Bowl and request- <br />ing a contribution of $25.00 financial assistance. On motion <br />of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and carried, the p~a ns <br />for the program were accepted and payment of $25.00 <br />authorized to assist the Santa Ana Junior Chamber of <br /> <br />Commerce. <br /> <br />On motion or Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, <br />communication of the Santa Ana Junior Chamber of Commerce <br />relative to Hallowe'en Hi Jinks was received and filed, <br />and permission given to hold street dance on Sixth Street <br />between Broadway and Sycamore Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, <br />the check in the amount of $8,466.34 of the Southern <br /> <br />Calif. Telephone Company covering franchise payment for <br />the year ending Oct. 12, 1946, was ordered deposited and <br />communication attached was referred to the City Auditor for <br />checking. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Ha~n, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />the City Clerk was instructed to submit a statement of <br />change of boundaries of the City of Santa Aha in accord- <br />ance with Section 3?20 of the Political Code covering <br />annexed territory of Southeast Santa Ana to the County <br />Assessor and the State Board of Equalization oh or before <br />February in compliance with communication of George Bradley, <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />Communication of C. H. Eckles, Owner of the Santa Ana Bus <br />Service, submitting route of bus service in newly annexed <br />Southeast territory, requesting increase in fares throughout <br />the city of Santa Aha, was read. It was moved by Trustee <br />Deckert, sec~.nded by Cheney and carried, that the Chair <br />appoint a committee to investigate Mr. Eckles' proposals <br />and report back at the next meeting. Committee consisting <br />of the entire Council and the City Engineer was appointed. <br /> <br />No protests having been received, on motion of Trustee Ha~n, <br />seconded by Deckert and carried, the application of Ted. C. <br />Staffler to conduct a business of dealing in motor vehicles <br />at 702 No. Main Street was granted and Clerk authorized to <br />issue a license. <br /> <br /> <br />
