Ro Harwood, Post Master, with referenc. <br /> to loading zone at the Post Office Contract Station at 310 <br /> No. Broadway was referred to Trustee Dixon for action. <br /> <br /> Committee reported on the protest of Ruth Geist against <br /> W. <br /> garage business being conducted at 106$/First Street and on <br /> <br /> motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br /> the Clerk was instructed to advise Ruth Geist that location <br /> is only being used for private garage after due investigatio~ <br /> by the Building Inspector and Planning Consultant. <br /> <br /> Report of the Committee appointed to investigate petition of <br /> residents and property owners for street lights in the South~ <br /> east Santa Ana District recently annexed, was accepted and o~ <br /> motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br /> and on recom~endation of the City Engineer twenty-five <br /> intersection street lights were ordered installed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Oheney, seconded by Deckert and carried <br /> the communication of the Secretary of S.A. City Schools <br /> requesting installation of State approved type of traffic <br /> signs at the school zones, was received and filed and Clerk <br /> instructed to advise the Secretary that the request has been <br /> complied with and twenty signs have been installed to date. <br /> <br />The Taxi-Cab Commission recommended the approval of the ap- <br />plication of J. A. Perry and C. W. Williams for transfer of <br />ownership of the Broadway Cab Company, subject to the filing <br />of a statement on taxicab rates and color scheme not in <br />conflict with any other Cab Company. On motion of Trustee <br />Cheney, seconded by Deckert and carried, the application was <br />granted as afore mentioned. <br /> <br /> The recommendation of the Taxicab Commission was accepted, <br /> and on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carrie. <br /> the Rainbow Cab Company was authorized to purchase four add- <br /> itional cabs, but permits for operation not to be granted <br /> until necessary data on new cabs and proper insurance <br /> policies are filed with the City Council. <br /> <br /> The recommendation of the Taxicab Commission was accepted, <br /> and on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and <br /> cmrried, the application of the B~ck & Green Cab Company <br /> to increase their service with three additional taxicabs was <br /> granted. <br /> <br /> <br />
