In Re Request Safeway Stores Sales Tax Returns In Re Minutes of Joint 0utfall Sewer Meeting In Re Application Pool Hall Rafael Gomez In Re Dance Application Vasquez-Jimenez In Re Petition relative proposed discontinuauce bus service N.E. & section Santa Ana In Re Request Dr. A.E.Vallier 291 On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, request of Safeway Stores for permission to estimate sales for the week ending October 5th, 1946 on which to determine the amount of sales tax covering that period for each store located in Santa Ana,was granted and Clerk to notify them of this action. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried request of G.E.Ke~ns for extension of sixty days for completion of contract for construction of pumping plant and digester was granted on condition that bonding company on contractorts bond file with City of Santa Aha a w~itten agreement extending liability under bond. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, the minutes oF the meeting of the Executive Board of the Joint 0utfall Sewer held at Anaheim, Nov. 7th, 1946, were approved, received and filed. On motion cf Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, request of Rafael Gomez for permission to conduct a pool hall at 2309 So. Main St., formerly operated by Antonia Montes, was referred to Police Department and Police Commissioner with power to act. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried, request of Aurora Vasquez and Mike Jimenez for permission to conduct public dances at 3rd and Ross St. each Thursday evening until January 1st, 1947, was granted. C.H.Eckles, owner Santa Aha Bus Company, s~mitted a proposal to change bus routes in the northeast and north. west section of the City. A petition signed by 242 residents and owners of property in the northeast section of Santa Aha request- ing continuance of bus service in that area was read and numerous interested persons discussed the disadvants of discontinuing this service. The Chairman of tbs Board referred the matter to the Taxicab and Bus Board for further study and report back at meeting November 28th. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried request of Dr. A.E.Vallier for a pedestrian lane at 2035 North Main St., was referred to the City Engineer and Street Commissioner to report back at next meeting.
