/ 290 Council Chamber Santa Ana City Hall November 18th, 1946. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. Present: Trustees Otto R. Haan, W. Eugene Dixon, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman Absent: Trustees Dale G. Deckert The Clerk commenced the re~ding of the Minutes and each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of November 4th, 1946, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, comuntcation from Secy. Santa Ara Lawn Bowling Club complimenting City Council and Park Superintendent on condition of bowling greens in Santiago Park, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, request of R.J.Brady to sell concession in Santiago Park to Paul Gustlin, was granted. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried, request of purchaser, Paul Gustlin, that the second year of lease be on the same basis of commission as the first year, was referred to the City Attorney. Communication from City Engineer that Westwood Avenue from l?th Street north to the north line of Tract No. 1134 has been completed and that check in the amount of $1,000.00 should be returned to Mr. Emmett Rogers, was read. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried, Clerk was authorized to return check to Mr. Rogers covering improvement in Tract No. 1134. On recommendation of the Water Superintendent and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and carried, Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids covering one 108 cubic foot capacity gasoline engine driven trailer mounted air compressor; trailer wheels to have pneumatic tires and equipped with hand brakes and tool box. On recommendation of the Chairman of the Board and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids covering painting of woodwork and trim on outside of Community Center Building, W. 8th St.,; bids to be handled through Auditor,s office.
