No. In Re Santa Aha City Park Bond Proposition In Re Special Municipal Bond Election the Management and Supervision of Public Recreation; Prescribing the Acquisition of and Establishing Playground Areas, Buildings and Athletic Fields: Establishing a Recreation Fund and Levying of a Tax Therefor, be adopted: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees Otto R. Haan, W. Eugene Dixon, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman None Dale G. Deckert On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, the Ordinance establishing a Recreation Depa~.tment for the City of Santa Ana under management of a Recreation Con~nission was referred to the City Attorney for written opinion to dete~nine the validity of th~ Ordinance. Moved by Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney that it appearing that the total vote upon the Santa Aha Employee Retirement Proposition was 6979 for and $799 against, the said measure is hereby declared passed and that Ordinance No. 1189 authorizing a contract between the City Council of the City of Santa Ana and the Board of Administration, California State Employeest Retirement System, providing for the participation of said sub- division in said State Employees~ Retirement System, and making its emPloyees members of said system, be adopted: Ayes, Trustees Otto R. Haan, W. Eugene Dixon, Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman None Dale G. Deckert Moved by Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon that it appearing that the total vote upon the Santa Aha Park Bond Proposition, at the special municipal bond election held November 6th, 1946, was 9037 for and 4§33 against, which favorable vote is less than two-thirds of the total vote, the said measure is hereby declared defeated. Motion carried. Moved by Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon that as to the Special Municipal Bond election, the City Clerk enter upon these minutes a statement showing this to be a separate election, the fact and date of the election, the proposition voted upon and the vote by precincts and also by totals. Motion carried.
