Deckert <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the Ordinance establishing a Recreation <br />Depa~.tment for the City of Santa Ana under management <br />of a Recreation Con~nission was referred to the City <br />Attorney for written opinion to dete~nine the validity <br />of th~ Ordinance. <br /> <br />Moved by Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney that it <br />appearing that the total vote upon the Santa Aha Employee <br />Retirement Proposition was 6979 for and $799 against, <br />the said measure is hereby declared passed and that <br />Ordinance No. 1189 authorizing a contract between the <br />City Council of the City of Santa Ana and the Board of <br />Administration, California State Employeest Retirement <br />System, providing for the participation of said sub- <br />division in said State Employees~ Retirement System, and <br />making its emPloyees members of said system, be adopted: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Otto R. Deckert <br /> <br />Moved by Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon that it <br />appearing that the total vote upon the Santa Aha Park <br />Bond Proposition, at the special municipal bond election <br />held November 6th, 1946, was 9037 for and 4§33 against, <br />which favorable vote is less than two-thirds of the <br />total vote, the said measure is hereby declared defeated. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Moved by Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon that as to the <br />Special Municipal Bond election, the City Clerk enter <br />upon these minutes a statement showing this to be a <br />separate election, the fact and date of the election, <br />the proposition voted upon and the vote by precincts and <br />also by totals.
