Vander Linden <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request <br /> <br />U.S.Army Recruiting <br /> <br />Service <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Extensions of time <br /> <br />City Sales Tax <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communications were received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from Chief of Fire Department stating that <br />all theaters operating in the City are given regular <br />weekly inspections by the Fire Prevention Bureau, both <br />during hours when the public is admitted and after show <br />hours and that all local theatres are conforming with <br />safety rules as outlined in City Ordinance No. 864, was <br />read and on motion of Trustee Dixon, secorded by Cheney <br />and carried, communication was received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from Navy Club stating that it will be <br />impossible to show Mobile War Exhibit on dates scheduled <br />and requesting permission to show at a later date, was <br />read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, extension of time was granted and Clerk to <br />notify Navy Club to make application for future exhibition <br />date. <br /> <br />Communication from Rev. G. Vander Linden, Reformed <br />Church in America, requesting use of one of the Army <br />Air Base chapels now on the Santa Ana A~my Base, was <br />read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, Chairman of the Board was instructed to write <br />the War Assets Administration in an effort to obtain <br />one of these chapels for use of the Reformed Church in <br />America and forward a copy of such letter to the Rev. <br />G. Vsnder Linden. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, request of U.S. Army Recruiting Service for <br />permi~sion to place a Camden Sign, bearing the address <br />of the Recruiting Office and an advertisement in connect- <br />ion with the benefits of Army life, on the southwest or <br />the southeast corner of 4th Street at Main, size of sign <br />to be 3,x5,, waa referred to the Assistant Chief of <br />Police and City Engineer for investigation. <br /> <br />Requests from Karlts Kustom Made Shoes for fifteen days <br />extension of time, Singer Sewing Machine Co. for ten <br />days extension of time and of Royal Typewriter Co. Inc. <br />for thirty days extension of time covering payment of <br />City Sales Tax, were read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, requests for extension of time on payment of <br />City sales tax were granted and Clerk instructed to <br /> <br /> <br />
