Vander Linden In Re Request U.S.Army Recruiting Service In Re Extensions of time City Sales Tax On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, communications were received and filed. Communication from Chief of Fire Department stating that all theaters operating in the City are given regular weekly inspections by the Fire Prevention Bureau, both during hours when the public is admitted and after show hours and that all local theatres are conforming with safety rules as outlined in City Ordinance No. 864, was read and on motion of Trustee Dixon, secorded by Cheney and carried, communication was received and filed. Communication from Navy Club stating that it will be impossible to show Mobile War Exhibit on dates scheduled and requesting permission to show at a later date, was read. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, extension of time was granted and Clerk to notify Navy Club to make application for future exhibition date. Communication from Rev. G. Vander Linden, Reformed Church in America, requesting use of one of the Army Air Base chapels now on the Santa Ana A~my Base, was read. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and carried, Chairman of the Board was instructed to write the War Assets Administration in an effort to obtain one of these chapels for use of the Reformed Church in America and forward a copy of such letter to the Rev. G. Vsnder Linden. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, request of U.S. Army Recruiting Service for permi~sion to place a Camden Sign, bearing the address of the Recruiting Office and an advertisement in connect- ion with the benefits of Army life, on the southwest or the southeast corner of 4th Street at Main, size of sign to be 3,x5,, waa referred to the Assistant Chief of Police and City Engineer for investigation. Requests from Karlts Kustom Made Shoes for fifteen days extension of time, Singer Sewing Machine Co. for ten days extension of time and of Royal Typewriter Co. Inc. for thirty days extension of time covering payment of City Sales Tax, were read. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, requests for extension of time on payment of City sales tax were granted and Clerk instructed to
