Russell Hardcastle <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request - Martha KOofolis <br /> <br />and Fred'Smith - <br />Street lights <br /> <br />A petition was presented signed by twenty-five resident: <br />and property owners in the vicinity of East First and <br />Lyon Sts., requesting that a hand operated pedestrian <br />signal be installed at the crossing of East First and <br />Lyon Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, matter was referred to the City Engineer to <br />report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />A petition was presented signed by seven residents and <br />property owners in the vicinity of East First and Lyon <br />Sts., requesting that several lights be installed on <br />South Lyon Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, matter was referred to the City Engineer to <br />report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, the report of the Police Department for month <br /> <br />of February, 1946, was received and filed. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br />carried, the resignation of Leonard L. Deuel, Jr. <br />Police Officer, effective March 9, 1948, was accepted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deck~rt, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, cor~nunication and Resolution No, 65 , of the <br />Planning Commission approving application for variance <br />of Charles D. Swarmer, Jr. to conduct business of <br />chiropractor at residence located at ll6 E. Washington, <br />being Lot 8 in Crookshank & ~Vakeham's Addition to Santa <br />Ana, w~s approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br />carried, communication and Resolution No. 60, of the <br />Planning Commission approving application of F. Russell <br /> <br />Hardcastle and Rosann M. Hardcastle, on behalf of 0.E. <br /> <br />Wilkinson, to conduct a real estate business at 109 E. <br /> <br />7th St., was approved. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of <br />Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, the City <br />Engineer was instructed to install an overhead street <br />light at the intersection of Sixth and Hawley Streets <br />and at the end of Lowell Street approximately one block <br />south of Fatrview Avenue. <br /> <br /> <br />
