Kirby, Charles Hans <br />Padruth, William R. Lunsford and William C. Ray to <br />drive ta×icabs, were granted and Clerk authorized to <br />issue licenses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the resignation of 0.A.Jacobs, as City Attorne <br />effective April 1st, 1946, was accepted with regrets. <br /> <br />The Chairman of the Board suggested that applications <br />of John K. Colwell, George E. Bradley and Jack J. Rimel <br />for position as City Attorney be referred to the Council <br />as a whole to be considered at a meeting to be called <br />by the Chairman. <br /> <br />Request of Home 0il Co. for per~tission to set two light <br />standards inside set back line at northeast corner of <br />Main and Hobart St. and ~t 1401 No. Main St., was read <br />and on motion of Trustee Rash, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, request was referred to City Engineer to report <br />back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />The application of Lafayette Madison Guyon for a permit <br />to operate a patrol service in Santa Ana under the name~ <br />of the Orange County Merchants Patrol and Orange Co~unty <br />Private Detective Agency was read and on Eot~on of <br />Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney an~ carried, matter <br />was referred to the City Attorney for investigation and <br />to report back at next meeting. <br /> <br />The request of Mrs. C.?.Paul for use of Victory House <br />during the month of April, to be placed at the northeast <br />corner of Fourth and Sycamore Sts., for the purpose of <br />promoting the Congressional Program on the Control of <br />Cance~ was re~d and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded <br />by Cheney and carried, request was granted. <br /> <br /> <br />
