155 Council Chamber Santa Aha City Hall March 18th~ 1946. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, Otto R. Haan~ W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Absent: Trustees W. E~gene Dixon The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes smd each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of March 4th, 1946 and March llth, 1946, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried. Communication from United Stat~s Conference of Mayors requesting that City of Santa Aha participate in and financially s~pport the important work which the Con- ference is carrying ou in behalf of the cities was read, and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication was referred to the Mayor to report back at the next meeting. Communication from Department of Public Health enclosin new sewage disposal resolutions, was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication and resolutior~were referred to the Mayor and Engineer to report back. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, commuuication from Metropolitan Water District reference to maintenance of a policy of limiting water service to consumers within the boundaries of the con- stituent areas of the District was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication was received and filed. Request of Santa Ana Daily Globe for a loading zone a$ong the French St. side of their building located at 4th and FrSnch Sts., was read and on motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and carried, request was referred to St. Engineer and St. Commissioner to report back at the next meeting. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried~ notifications of the State Board of Equalizati~ of alcoholic beverage applications made by Michael Molfetto, 405½ W. 3rd St. to be transferred from Canuta Arbonies; Joe G. Islas & Henry B. Ortega, 602 E. 4th St. to be transferred from Hildreth V. Houck and Joseph M. Amstadt, 614 E. 1st St., were received and filed.
