Marquise to drive taxicabs, were <br />granted and Clerk authorized to issue licenses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, acceptance of franchise granted to the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad Co., by Ordinance No. 1168, was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, request of Lorin G. Moore for a loading zone on <br />the south side of W. 8th St., running west from Broadway <br />was referred to Street Cormuissioner and City Engineer to <br />report back. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, cormmunication and Resolution No. 74 of the <br />Planning Commission approving application for variance <br />of Frank Miller to use property at 1409 Bush St. to <br />conduct accounting and income tax business, was <br />approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication and Resolution No. 73 of the <br />Planning Commission approving application for variance <br />of Oscar Reslow to build partition to separate the <br />kitchen from the living room and install shower in the <br />bathroom in garage apartment located at 10~2 N.
