Builders' <br /> <br />Exchange <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, co~mnunication from Diehl and Company advising <br />that the quarterly exa~nation of the books and accounts <br />of the City of Santa Ana for the quarter ending March <br />51st, 1946 has been completed, was received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from member of Parade Co~muittee advising <br />that Tournament of Roses Parade will be held at Pasadena <br />Jan. l, 1947 was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, <br />seconded by Cheney and carried, communication was <br />referred to the Council as a whole for study of the <br />Budget and for further consideration. <br /> <br />On reco~endation of the Chairman of the Beard and on <br />motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, J. B. Tucker and Lyle Mitchell were reappointed <br />as membereof the Library Board; terms to expire June <br />1949. <br /> <br />Communication from Mrs. Willis relative to men being <br />paid for 48 hours work per week and presumably averaging <br />30 hours work per week was read and on motion of Trustee <br />Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried, communication was <br />referred to City Engineer. <br /> <br />Communication from Chief of Fire Department addressed <br />to Civil Service Board advising that Paul M. Reynolds <br />has requested an additional thirty days leave on advice <br />of his physician and resignations of Clyde Patmor and <br />Fred E. Perkins on June 1st, 1946 and that D. G. Harris <br />will be appointed to fill vacancy creGted by resignation <br />of Clyde Patmor, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, communication was received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from Secy-Mgr. Orange County Builders, <br />Exchange recommending that building departments be <br />instructed to decline to issue buildings peEmlts to <br />applicants unless application was within limits of <br />veterans housing program order or unless the applicant <br />has an authorization to build from the Civilian Product- <br />ion Administration, or, in the case of homes, the Federal <br />Housing Administration, its dalegated agency, was read. <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, communication was referred to a committee, to <br /> <br /> be appointed by the Chairman of the Board, for study, <br /> <br /> <br />
