Trustee Mandy was appointed to <br />serve on said Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and <br />carried, the City Council adJourned~~ <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Smith. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Courtney R. Chandler, Virgil H. Reed, <br /> Allen A. Mandy, R. Carson Smith. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees W. Kiley <br />and Laurence A. Miller, 1039 E. Sixth Street, was received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and car- <br />ried, the communication from the State Division of High- <br />ways replying to request of City for traffic signals at <br />6th and Main Streets, stating that signals were not recom- <br />mended at this time, was received and filed. <br /> <br />ComJaunlcation from Metropolitan Water District relative <br />payment of the District tax for fiscal year 1947-48, was <br />read and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Heed <br />and carried, matter of payment of said tax will be certi- <br />fied to the County Auditor and levied against property <br />within the City as in the past. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and car- <br />ried, the communication of Mrs. H.J. Howard, Commissioner <br />of S.A. Area Girl Scout Council, expressing appreciation <br />for having the unnecessary fence removed from the front <br /> <br /> <br />
