No. 3549 <br /> <br />Storm sewers <br /> <br />357 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Clerk was ~ thorized to open bids covering <br />the furnishing of 85,000 pounds of structural steel for <br />the Bristol Street Bridge~ as follows: <br /> <br /> Bid of Bethlehem Pacific Coast Steel Corporation, <br /> in the amount of $4,956.00 <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, bid was referred to the Auditor and Engineer <br />for checking and if approved, Chairman of the Board <br />was authorized to sign contract. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, plans as submitted by City Engineer for the <br />sewage disposal system, were approved. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication and Resolution No. 120 of the <br />Planning Commission granting the variance application of <br />Charles F. Lee to engage in the business of lawnmower <br />repairing and sales at 1101 West First Street, subject <br />to certain c~nditionstwere approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, Chairman of the Board was authorized to execute <br />contract covering the purchase of a chlorinator and hose <br />as requested by the Sewer Department, on the basis of <br />payment of $100.00 or more per month and providing that <br />contract gives full credit to the City for moneys paid <br />under the former contract. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, Resolution urging the Board of Supervisors of <br />the County of Orange to provide funds for the deepening <br />and widening of drainage ditch south of Santa Aha, was <br />introduced, read, considered, designated Resolution <br />3549 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees Otto R. Haan, W. Eugene Dixon, <br /> Dale G. Deckert, W. J. Cheney, <br /> Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None <br /> <br />On recommendation of the City Auditor and on motion of <br />Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried, the <br />quotation of the General Petroleum Corporation covering <br />the furnishing of gasoline for one year, beginning <br />April 1st, 1947, at a price of $0.1189 for Ethyl gasoli] <br />and $O.IOA1 for regular gasoline, being the lowest <br />quotation received, was accepted. <br /> <br /> <br />
