RESOLUTION NO. 56-18~ A~'~Ei~DING SECTIONS 2 and 3 <br />OF RESOLUTION NO. 5114 AS AI~.~ENDED EiYflTLED "RESOLUTION <br />ESTABLISHING A BASIC CO~,iF~JSATION PLAN FOR CEY{TAIN <br />CLASSES OF E}~!PL0~{ENT IN THE I'~JNICIPAL SERVICE OF THE <br />CITY OF SAI~TA ANA, AND ESTABLISHING REG~UI~TIONS FOR <br />THE PLACE~&ENT OF P~SE2,~T Ei'.iPLOYEES ?~THIi~ TIdE WAGE A~i'D <br />SALARY SCHEDULES PROVIDED". <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, on December 26, 19~1, the Board of Trustees of the <br />City of Santa Aha passed and adopted Resolution No. ~ll4 estab- <br />lishing a basic compensation plan for certain classes of employ- <br />ment in the service of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> ~VHEREAS, the general level of wages and the costs of goods <br />and services in the area of Santa Aha have increased to a degree <br />making it desirable to adjust said basic compensation plan and <br />the City of Santa Ana has determined that it is in the best inter- <br />ests of said City to adjust the schedule numbers and make certain <br />additions to the list of class titles, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 2 of Resolution <br />No. ~ll4 be and the sa~e is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 2: Salary and Wage Schedules. The following salary <br />and wage schedules shall constitute the basic compensation plan <br />consisting of five (~) steps or rates of pay in each schedule. <br />The respective schedules shall be identified by number and the <br />steps by the letters A to E inclusive. The coluntuar headings at <br />the top of each column shall establish the purpose of each step <br />and the length of service required for advancement to the next <br />higher step as provided in Section 7 hereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
