"SECTION 401.1. ORDER OF FILLING OFFICES. <br /> <br /> The office for Councilmen from Ward One, Ward Three, <br /> <br />and ~ard Five shall be filled at the General Municipal E~ ction <br />held on the first Tuesday of April,1957, and the office for <br />Councilmen from Ward Two and Ward Four shall be filled at the <br />General Municipal Election held on the first Tuesday of April, <br />1959. Thereafter the office of Councilmen from Yards One, Thr~e <br />and Five and from Wards Two au d Four shall be filled at the <br />alternate General Municipal Elections. <br /> <br /> The candidate elected from each ~a~d shall be the candidate <br />receiving the highest ntunber of votes cast for any candidate <br />fromsaid ~ard." <br /> <br /> The Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to print the <br />proposed amendments to the Charter of the City of SantaAna in <br />one issue of the Santa Ana Independent not less than 40 days nor <br />more than 60 days before said Election; to cause the sa~e to be <br />printed and cause a copy thereof enclosed in an envelope with <br />sample ballot to be mailed to each ~oter, to publish a "Notice <br />of Measures"to be voted upon; and to publish a notice that a copy <br />of proposed ~mendments may be had by registered electors on <br />application thereof, all as required. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOP'iED by the City Council of the City <br /> <br />of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of <br />December, 19~6. <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Clerk of the Council <br /> <br />Page -3- <br /> <br /> <br />
