Berry was granted time off <br /> <br />with pay to attend convention of California State Firemen~s Aesociatic <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Chief of Police <br />(attendance at <br />meetings) <br /> <br />at Los Angeles, September l?t~ to 20th, inclusive. <br />. <br />Communication was read from the Chief of Police stating his reason <br /> <br />for not attending the two previous. Council meetings. On motion of <br />Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the communication was <br /> <br />received, filed and Administrator instructed to inform the Department <br /> <br />heads as to when their presence will not be required at the Council <br /> <br />In Re <br />Grant of Easement <br />- Prentice Park <br /> <br />meetings. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried~ proper <br /> <br />officials were authorized to execute Grant of Easement between the <br /> <br />City and Southern California Edison Company covering a line for <br /> <br />In Re <br />Service Agreement <br />Div. of Highways <br />(FreeWay) <br /> <br />electric service to Prentice Park. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the City <br />Engineer was authorized to execute Service Agreement from the Depart- <br />ment of Public Works, Division of Highways, dated August 24, 1951, <br />regarding the payment for a City Inspector during the time that the <br /> <br />In Re <br />Rights-of-way <br />Widening So. Main <br /> (escrow instructions) <br /> <br />Contractor on the Freeway is relocating the sanitary sewers. <br /># <br />Communication was read from the City Engineer submitting escrow <br />instructions for the widening of South Main Street covering properties <br />owned by Richard C. Honer, Viola McCuistion, Annetta J. Dlngledy, <br /> <br />Eugene Schaefer and Jack Claborn,'Ernest H. Layton, Grant W. <br /> <br />and Jacob C. Gould. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter <br /> <br />and carried, proper official was authorized to sign escrow instruct- <br /> <br />In Re <br />Minutes <br />Joint Outfall <br />Sewer <br /> <br />In Re <br />Taxicab <br />Applications <br /> <br />ions with said persons for rights-of-way. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Minutes of the Joint Outfall Sewer Executive Board meeting held at <br />Anaheim, Sept. 6, 1951, were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the app- <br /> <br />licatione of Robert R. Squler, John Henry Gulick, Robert C. Drown, <br /> <br />Vincent P. Wood and Curtis M. Amburgey to drive taxicabs, were <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Fire Chief <br /> (premises at <br />1043 W. Camille) <br /> <br />received and pemmits granted. <br /># <br /> <br />Communication wac read from the Fire Chief stating that the fire <br /> <br />hazard and health menace which existed on premises of Elmer Ulseth, <br /> <br />1043 West Camille has been cleaned up to the satisfaction of the Fire <br /> <br />Department and the Health Department, and on motion of Trustee Hunter <br /> <br /> <br />
