<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the ~ark

<br />Superintendent was instructed to have necessary repaiEs made to freigh~

<br />elevator at the Community Center, to conform to State inspection,

<br />subject to competing bids. On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by
<br />
<br />Jerome and carried, the Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids
<br />
<br />to reactivate the freight elevator at the Community Center when
<br />
<br />speclfiqations are furnished by the Park Superintendent.

<br />
<br />officials were authorized to execute Special Counsel Contract dated
<br />
<br />September 17, 1951, between the City and O'Melveny & Myers for service~
<br />
<br />to be performed in the preparation of proceedings in connection with
<br />
<br />the construction of certain paving, curbing and other street work in
<br />
<br />St. Andrews Place and other streets, pursuant to the Improvement Ac.t
<br />
<br />of 1911.

<br />Communication was read from Mrs. M.E.Bower requesting that a school
<br /> be placed
<br />crossing marke~_/at the 17th and Baker Street intersection. On motion
<br />
<br />of Trustee Dahl, seconded b~ Hunter and carried, the communication was
<br />received,, filed and referred to the Administrator and Chief of Police.
