Dahl. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of <br />the Minutes of October l, October 8 and October 15, 1951, <br />reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on <br />motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Repair elevator <br />Comm. Center <br /> Bids <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br />October 22, 1951 2:30 P, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the Clerk <br />was authorized to open bids to repair the freight elevator at the <br />Community Center, as follows: <br /> <br />Beckwith Elevators, Ltd.; Certified check in the amount of $123.00. <br />At a price of $1,225.00 according to specifications. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Ordinance <br />Amend. Appl. <br />Plann. Comm. initiated <br />Yard requirements <br /> <br /> Elevator Maintenance Co. Ltd. (Montgomery Elevator Co.); Certified ~ <br /> check in the amount of $137.00. ~ <br /> At a price of $1,370.00 according to specifications. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the bids <br />were referred to the Administrator and Park Superintendent for recommen- <br />dation and report at this meeting. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing protests and no written .or ora] pro- <br />tests having been received, on motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by <br />Jerome and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"An Ordinance amending provisions of Ordinance No. <br />1074 known as the "Use Districting Ordinance" <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Roscoe Wilson <br /> <br />modifying some of the yard requirements under various circumstances, <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading.: <br />Communication was read from Roscoe Wilson reference sale of certain <br />property at the southeast corner of Spurgeon and Washington Streets to <br /> <br />a church organization. On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by <br /> <br />Jerome and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advise Mr. Wilson that <br /> <br />the property is in the R-3 District which permits the establistmment of <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Preston W.Porter <br /> <br />a church in such zone. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Preston W. Porter requesting that traffic <br />signs, lights or some. means of caution be installed on W. l?th St. <br /> <br />between ~istol and English Streets to slow the traffic, and on motion <br /> <br />of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the matter was <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Henry M.Wil]iams <br /> (Escort Service) <br /> <br />referred to the Administrator and Chief of Police for recommendation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the request <br />of Henry M. Williams to conduct an escort service was referred to the <br />Administrator, Attorney and Chief of Police with power to act and also <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Disabled American <br />Veterans <br /> <br />recommend necessary rules and regulations covering such service. ' <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and Carried, the requesit <br />of the Dis~.bled American Veterans, Jack Fisher Chapter 23, Inc., for <br />permission to sell Forget-me-nots, on Saturday, November 10th, was <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Winifred Triplett <br /> <br />granted. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Winifred Triplett stating that tree in the <br /> <br />parkway ~t 606 South Main Street is a hazard and should be removed and <br /> <br />curb repaired. On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and <br /> <br />carried, matter was referred to the Park Superintendent for reply. <br /> <br /> <br />
