On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome <br /> and carried, permission was granSed and a contract ordered entered Iht <br /> with the Association providing expenditure of not more than $500.00. <br /> Communication was read from Forrest Jones requesting permission to <br /> decorate certain streets in the downtovm district with overhead <br /> <br /> Christmas decorations. On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by ~-~ <br /> Jerome and carried, the request to install Christmas decorations was <br /> granted and contract to be entered into with the Chamber of Commerce <br /> for financial assistance not to exceed $500.00, if requested before <br /> <br /> Christmas. <br /> ,, <br /> On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, proper <br /> officials were authorized to execute lease dated November l, 1951, <br /> between the City and the County of Orange for rental of certain rooms <br /> at the Community Center Building, 1104 W. 8th St., for use of the <br /> Agricultural Extension Service at a rental of $209.00 per month for <br /> thirty months. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, con- <br /> sideration of lease between the City and Toastmasters Internaticnal <br /> for rental of certain rooms at the Community Center was deferred for <br /> two weeks until cancellation clause is inserted in the lease. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the <br />notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage <br />applications made by Lois C. Ross and Margaret M. Schryver, 1705 N. <br /> <br /> Main St., and Patrlcia B. Frisbie, 613 W. 17th St., were received and <br /> <br /> filed. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried., statement <br /> showing receipts, disbursements and fund balances as of September 30, <br /> from the Purchasing Department, was received and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> granted to permit manufacturing of rubber products except rubber tires <br /> on property bounded on the south by Dyer Road, on the east by Halladay <br /> Street, on the north by the Pacific Electric right-of-way and on the <br /> west by the east line of Tract No. 159 and said line extended southerlY, <br /> <br /> subject to certain conditions. --~ <br /> # <br /> On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by.Jerome and carried, the follo~ <br /> <br /> lng Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1074" <br /> <br /> for the rezonlng of that part of Lot "A" Dresser Tract bounded on the <br /> northeast by the Freeway right-of-way, on the west by the railroad <br /> right-of-way, on the south by the M-2 District and on the north by Eas~ <br /> Seventeenth Street, was introduced, read, considered and placed on file <br /> <br /> <br />
