Walker <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the follow- <br />ing Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution Accepting Four Grant Deeds" <br /> <br />from Emmet C. and Juna Rogers,and Mabel C. Ross, for Riviera Drive and <br />Santa Clara Avenue east of Baker Street and the east half of Towner <br />Street north of Fifteenth Street, was read, considered, designated <br />Resolution No. 510~ and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees William Jerome, Orson H. Hunter, <br /> Milford W. Dahl, Courtney R. Chandler. <br /> Noes, Trustees None <br /> Absent, Trustees J.L.McBride <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Dab_l, seconded by Hunter and carried, the follow- <br />ing Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution of the City Council of the City of <br /> Santa Ana initiating an amendment to the Use <br /> Districting Ordinance" <br /> <br />to reclassify certain land lying within the block bounded by First <br />Street~ Fourth Street, Wright Street and McOlay Street from its present <br />R-2 District classification to the C-2 District, was read, considered, <br />designated Resolution No. 5105 an~ passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees William Jerome, Orson H. Hunter, <br /> Milford W. Dahl, Courtney R. Chandler. <br /> Noes, Trustees None <br /> Absent, Trustees J.L.McBride <br />, <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the <br />Planning Commission was requested to initiate, at its next regular <br />meeting, a variance to rezone the property as described in Resolution <br />No. 5105 to permit general offices and wholesale and retail <br />distributing plant for milk, ice cream and dairy products but not to <br /> <br />provide for processing or production. <br />, <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />quarterly report of Diehl and Company for the period ending September <br />30, 1951 and statement of condition of funds as of September 30, 1951, <br /> <br />were received and filed. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunt,r, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />reports of the Building Department, Judge's Office and Police Departmel <br />for the month of November and annual report of the Park Department, <br /> <br />were received and filed. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the report <br />of the Actuarial Board on the retirement plan for the Joint Outfall <br />Sewer Employees, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the Clerk <br />was authorized to direct a letter to the City of Newport Beach grantin <br />that City a thirty day extensibn under the contract with the City of <br />Santa Ana, as contracting agent for the Joint Outfall Sewer, to allow <br />the continued handling of sewage effluent through the Joint Outfall <br /> <br />Sewer sewerage works and oUtfall. <br />,, <br />Communication was read from James E. Walker, Attorney, expressing <br />appreciation on behalf of all of those who appeared at the Council <br />meeting, November 19th, in opposition to the Gowdy variance, and on <br />motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and csrried, the <br /> <br />communication wa@ received and filed. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
