On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, <br />Harold Picketing, Poundmaster, wae inst~'ucted to confer with the <br /> <br />County I~spector reference this matter. <br />t! <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, W.D.0bar~ <br />was reappointed, as a member cf the Orange County Mosquito Abatement <br /> <br />District; term to expire December 31, 1953. ~ <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the ~ <br />notifications of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beveragei <br /> <br />applications made by Claddis L. Sears, 2023 So. Main St., J. Armand <br /> <br />Dho, 222 Spurgeon St., and Harry L. Martin, 904 E. let St., were <br /> <br />received and filed. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, <br /> <br />seconded by Jerome <br /> <br />and carried, the <br /> <br />request of Dr. N.W.Love for a twenty minute parking zone at 322 West <br /> <br />17th street, was referred to the Administrator, Engineer and Chief of <br /> <br />Police with power to act. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />request of Richard J. Schuster for permission to install t~ee poles <br /> <br /> to be concreted in the ground and to be used for the purpose of sign <br /> <br /> advertising at 826 So.Main St. extending over the set-back line was dei <br /> # <br /> On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the reques~ <br /> of Dr. Karl Loerch for a thirty-foot driveway on the property at the <br /> northwest corner of Tenth and Broadway, being 1002-0~ North Broadway, <br /> was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the requesti <br />of the Board of Education that a crossing guard be placed at the <br />Spurgeon School crossing at South Broadway and Fairview was referred <br />to the Administrator and Chief of Police to report at the next meeting <br />Communication was read from H.F.Bennett stating that if Grand Avenue <br />is extended to the corner of McClay and Chestnut Streets, according <br />the proposed plan, payment of $13,865.§0 would be acceptable for <br />damages and right-of-way to his property. On motion of Trustee <br /> <br />Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, matter was referred to the City <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Chas. A. Bennett stating that if Grand <br />Avenue is extended to the corner of McClay and Chestnut Streets, <br />according to the proposed plan, payment of $9,000.00 woul& be acceptabl <br />for damages and right-of-way to his property. On motion of Trustee <br />Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, matter was referred to the City <br /> <br />Attorn'ey. <br />, <br />A copy of the communication addressed to the Joint Outfall Sewer from <br />Regional Water Pollution Control Board No. 8 was read stating that <br />sewage from the Joint Outfall S~wer System has been discharged into th~ <br /> <br />tied. <br /> <br /> <br />
