Haan, Inc. to conduct the business of dealing in <br /> <br />motor vehicles at 505 South Main Street, was granted. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the app- <br /> <br />lication of Carl G. Booth, to drive taxicabs, was granted. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the <br />reports of the Building Department and Judgels office for the month of <br />February, 1951, were received and filed. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by forty-seven residents and property owner~ <br />in the vicinity of River Lane and Sharon Road stating their~reasons <br />why the street names of River Lane and Sharon Road should be changed <br />to such other names as may be deemed appropriate. On motion of <br />Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the petition was <br />referred to the Planning Commission for study and report back to the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Planning Commission recommending approval <br />of Tentative Map of Tract No. 1502 which Tract lies north of the west- <br />erly extension of Santa Clara Avenue and between Baker and Bristol <br />Streets, consisting of forty-nine lots, and stating that one of the <br />streets has not been named. On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by <br />Reed and carried, Tentative Map of Tract No. 1502 was referred back <br />to ~he Planning Commission with instructions to name the street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted and Tentative <br />Map of Tract No. 1473 approved subject to condition that Spurgeon <br />Street in said Tract is curved to meet Spurgeon Street as it exists <br />south of Edgewood Road. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Purchasing Agent advising that City failed <br />to collect State and City Sales Tax on sale of city-owned equipmen~ so <br /> <br />at auction. ~It was moved by, Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and <br /> that <br />carried,/the City waive that part of the City Sales Tax which was not <br /> <br />included in the sale of equipment sold at auction. On motion of <br />Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and Carried, communication was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />Report was read from Chief Building Inspector reference businesses <br />operating in residential districts without City licenses and req <br /> <br />additional ~lme for further steady. On motion of Trustee Reed, <br /> <br />seconded by Chandler and carried, the report was received and filed, <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution approving the agreement of sale of <br /> the real and personal property presently owned <br /> by the various Cities and Sanitary Districts <br /> known as the Joint Outfall Sewer" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 4051 and passed by the <br /> <br />following vote:. <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees <br /> Absent,:Trustees <br /> <br />Courtney R.
