Co. <br /> (Fire Station) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Release on contract <br />J.W.Morgensen <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Stone & Armstrong <br /> <br /> commission <br /> that <br /> Communication <br /> was read from the Planning recommending <br /> <br /> the City Attorney prepare an Ordinance which would prohibit location <br /> <br /> of bill boards or similar signs within 300 feet of the Freeway. On <br /> motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the City <br /> Attorney was instructed to withhold preparation of Ordinance until <br /> further information is received from the State. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending <br /> approval of Tentative Map of Tract 1531 subject to conditions that <br /> Seventh Street be made 60 fe~.t wide and that the boundaries along <br /> streets be extended to the centers of the streets, if possible. On <br /> motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, Map was <br /> referred to the City Engineer for study and to report at the next <br /> meeting. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the City Engineer recommending 'the acquisition <br /> <br /> of rights-of-way from Ramon N. Villalobos, Ida A. Parks, Ralph W. <br /> <br />Drennan, Percy E. Jennings, Sally Gonzales, Glenn A. Banard and George <br />Taney, Eugene Franklin Rowe and Archie V. Henninger on portions of <br />property on the east side of Bristol Street from Third Street to Delhi <br />Road. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, thei <br />recommendation was approved and the Mayor authorized to sign escrow <br />instructions with said persons for rights-of-way. <br /> <br />The report of the Chief Building Inspector was read stating that final~ <br />inspection was made of the Fire Station at 1441 South Broadway and <br />that the building is complete in every detail with the exception of <br />two items which will be installed at a later date, and on motion of <br />Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the report was accepted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the sum of <br />$2,000.00 was ordered inserted in Amended Agreement dated May 17, 1951~ <br />between the City of Santa Ana and South Coast Construction Company on <br />construction of fire station at Broadway and Edinger Street; date of <br /> <br />May 14, 1951 to be inserted as date of completion and proper officialsl <br /> <br />authorized to execute same. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, proper <br />officials were authorized to execute Release on contract between the <br />City and J.W.Morgensen regarding the sinking of a 51x5~ shaft ~round <br />a casing of a well. <br /> <br />A communication was read from the Planning' Commission recommending tha~ <br />a variance be granted to Stone and Armstrong, on a ~ot approximately <br />51~xll5~ at the northwest corner of Tenth and Broadway to permit <br />offices for insurance agents, insurance agencies and offices of person~ <br />engaged in professions, subject to certain conditions. On motion of <br />Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the variance was taken <br />under advisement pending appointment and referral of problem through <br />committee. A motion was made by Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and <br />carried, that the Chairman appoint a committee for the purpose of <br />studying the confliction betwe.~n the set-back Ordinance on North <br />Broadway and the Zoning Ordinance to report its recommendations as to <br />solution. The Chairman appointed the Engineer, Planning Engineer, <br />Chief Building Inspector and Attorney, as committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
