a~d where any street terminates of intersects oribed portion of East First Strest,/then beyond said curbs, and where no curbs exist then beyond the said curb lines, and across the sidewalk reservation to the north and sou~h property lines existing on the northerly and southerly sides of the described portion of East First Street. The use hereinafter in this Resolution of the words or phrase "Esst First Street" is intended to mean, does mean, end shall at all times he construed to mean the portion of said open public street above described. The work and improvement which the Board of Trustees of t~e city of Santa Ana orders done and made in, on, and along East First Street is briefly described as follows: (a) The complete removal off of and from the concrete base or pavement, ~ th which East First Street is now paved, of the asphaltic cap or wearing surface, and the recapping or re~u~facing of East First Street by constructing on the said concrete base or pavement an asphaltic concrete wearing surface two (2) inches thick. Excepting from the work above described any of sa~d work already done upon East First Street to the official grade. Excepting, however, from all of the aforesaid described work the portion thereof within any aras which is required by law to be kept in order and repair by any person or company having railroad tracks on East First Street. All of said work shall be done in accordance with the plans and specifications adopted therefor by the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, by Resolution No. ?0~, on the 16th day of May~ 1921, for said work and which plans and specifications are now on file in the office of the Clerk of the city of Santa Aha. The contemplated work and improvement on East First Street in the opinion of the Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Ana is of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Aha hereby makes the expenses of such work and improvement chargeable on a district, which district said Board of Trustees hereby declares to ce the district benefited by said work and improvement, and to Ce assessed to pay the cost and expenses thereof, and which ssid district is bounded and desoriOed as follows: Located in the city of Santa Axla, Comity of Orange, State of California, and beginning at the Southeast corner of Section seven (?), Township five (5) South, Range nine(9) West, S.B.B. & being the intersection of the center line of North lain Street and East First Street of the city cf Santa Ana; running thence northerly one hundred fifty-five (155) feet along said center line of said North ~ain Street; thence easterly along a straight line to ~he North- west corner of Lot l, Block l, Blee's Addition, as recorded in }/iscellaneous Naps, Book 4, Page 545, Records of Los Angeles California; thence Easterly in a straight line to the northeast cor- ner of Lot 16, B~ock "C" of Hall's Addition, as recorded in Nis-
