167 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1012. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO ORDER THE REGRADING, <br />PAVING AND OTHERWISE IMPROVII~IG A PORTION OF FAIRVIEW AVENUE IN <br />SAID CITY: DECLARING THE ~ID WORK OR IMPROVEMENT TO BE OR MORE <br />THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; DESCRIBING TNE DISTRICT <br />TO BE BENEFITTED BY SAID WORK AND IMPROVEMENT AND TO BE ASSESSED <br />TO PAY THE COSTS AND EXPENSES THEREOF; DETERMINING T}~T BONDS <br />SP~LL BE I~SUED TO REPHESENT SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES, AND FIXING <br />THE TINE A~) PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID WORK OR IM- <br />PROVEMENT OR TO THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESSED OR BOTH. <br /> <br /> The Board of Trustees of the city of S~ta Ana, California, <br />pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911, and <br />amendments thereto, do resolve as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require <br />and it is the intention of the Board od Trustees of the city of <br />Santa Ana, California, to order the construction of the following, <br />described work and improvement to be made in, on and along a <br />portion of that open public street in said city, commonly known <br />as Fairview Avenue, and which portion thereof is described as all <br />that portion of Fairview Avenue which extends West from the West <br />line of South Main Street to the West line of South Flower Street <br />a~d for the entire width of the said described portion of Fairview <br />Avenue from the curb line on the North to the curb line on the <br />South thereof, and where any street or a~!ey intersects or <br />terminates in the said described portion of aforesaid street <br />then beyond the curb line ~nd across the sidewalk reservatiom to <br />the North and South property lines thereof, to-wit: <br /> <br /> (a) The regrading to a subgrade six (8) inches below the <br />official grade thereof as now established and paving, by con- <br />structing on said subgrsde, a four (~) inch asphaltic concrete <br />base overlaid with a two (2) inch asphaltic concrete wearing sur- <br />face, complete to the official grade. <br /> <br /> (b) The excavation of thirty-five (~D) lateral house <br />connection s~wer trenches, approximately eight (8) feet in <br />depth, same to be placed opposite each separate lot, piece or <br />parcel of land fronting on the above described portion of Falrview <br />Avenue or where provided for on the plans and specifications for <br />said work, hereinafter more fully referred to; each trench to ex- <br />tend Northerly and Southerly ~s the case may be, from the main <br />sewer pi~e line, as constructed in and approximately along the <br />center line of the above described street to and inside of the <br />curb existing on the North and South sides thereon, and the laying <br />in each of such trenches of a lateral house connection sewer, <br />coostructed of four (A) inch ~nside diameter vitrified salt <br />glazed cylindrical sewer pipe connectin~ with the said main <br />sewer pipe line and extending from said main pipe line to the in- <br />side of ssid curb; and the backfilling and settling of each of <br />sa~d sewer trenches to a true a~d solid s~face on the subgrade. <br /> <br />(c) The construction of cement curb on prot~ons of the <br />above described street where same have not already been constructed <br /> <br /> <br />
