N0~V, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETEP2~[INED, AND ORDERED: Section 1. That rue expenditure of the money raised by the sale of bonds authorized by the voters of the Gity of Santa ~baa at the special bond election held April 9, 1946, under said "BOND PROPOSITIO~I l,[0. 4" for the purpose of the acquisition and eonstr~.¢- tion of wo~s and str~ctures for the control of storm and flood waters of Santiago greek in the i~it? of S~ta Aha, said works and str~etures consisting of retaining walls and t~e paving of the channel of a portion of said Creek, the purpose for which said bonds were voted, is now impractical and unwise, and said funds should not be expended for said proposal. Section 2. 1~nat said funds being the proceeds from the sale of bonds voted and approved as aforesaid, may not be used for any beneficial purpose, or for any other purpose than that set forth in said bond proposition, unless and until the same has been submitted to and approved by the voters of said City~ to so obtain the consent of the electors to ti~e use of said money for a necessary municipal purpose tha[~ will benefit all of the people of said City.
