The ~oard of Trustees of the City of Santa Ans, pur- suant to the provisions of the "Stree~ Opening Act of 1889", ,~proved Narch 6th, ]889, and amendments thereto, do resolve and declare as follows: PTI~IIC INTFRWST AND SECTION I. That the public CONVENIENCE inter, st and couvenienc requires, and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aaa, California, to order the following im- provement in the City of Santa Aaa, to-wit: That certain streets and alleys in said City of Santa Aaa ~e vacated and abandoned ss follows: All t~at part of said Brown Street lying Easterly of the Northeastern line of Santiago Avenue and Westerly of a line that intersects tbs South llne of Brown Street S~5.25 feet E~sterly of the Southeast corner of Brown Street and San- tiago Avenue, and intersects the North ~ine of Brown Street 400. feet Easterly of the Northeast corner of Brown Street and Santiago Avenue. Excepting therefrom that portion lying between two lines running Northerly and Southerly and which are parallel to each other and forty (40) feet apart. The Westerly line of said parallel liras intersects the South line of Brown Street 108.99 feet Easterly from the Southeast corner of Brown Street and Santiago Avenue, and intersects the North llne of Brown Street 143.90 feet Easterly from the Northeast corner of Brown Street and Santiago Avenue; conta~!ng an area of 22,080.5 square feet or 0.51 acres, more or less. Also, all of a twenty (20) feet alley between the ~outh line of said Brown Street ~od the North line of Sixth Street, the ~estern line of said alley intersects the South line of Brown Street 245.~ feet Easterly from the Southeast corner of Brown Street and Santiago Avenue, and intersects the North line of Sixth Street ~.84 feet Easterly from the North- east corner, of Sixth Street and Santiago Avenue: containing an area of ~,582.0 square feet, or o.E2 acres, more or less.
