Whereas, pursuant to statute, notice of filing list of un-
<br /> paid assessments was duly giv~in the manner and form required by law
<br /> that the warrant, assessment and diagram recorded on the 20th day of
<br /> April, 1926, for the work and improvement made by Drainage Construc-
<br /> tion Company, under that certain contract awarded to it on'the 4th
<br /> day of January, 1926, on English Street and West Eighth Street and
<br /> that said warrant, assessment and diagram were returned to the Street
<br /> Superintendent of said City, together with a written statement of all
<br /> payments received upon the~aid assessment, and after the full expira-
<br /> tion of twenty (20) days from the date of said warrant, the Street
<br /> Superintendent duly made and filed with the City Clerk of said City
<br /> of Santa Aha, a complete list of all assessments unpaid upon the s aidi
<br /> assessment, which list is now on file in the office of the City Clerk
<br /> of said City,now upon evidence shown, this Board determines that the
<br /> assessments therein mentic~ed were then unpaid, the total aggregate
<br /> thereof being the sum of ~o thousand and thirty six and 23/100 Dol-
<br /> lars ($2,036.23), and that assessments numbered 18, 23, 29, 31, 32,
<br /> 35, 36, 37, 40, 41, aggregating the sum of One thousand four hundred
<br /> and nine ($1,409.01) O1/lO0 Dollars have since been paid, and that
<br /> there now remains unpaid the sum of Six Hundred and Twenty Seven and
<br /> 22/100 ($627.22) Dollars upon the assessments shown upon said list.

<br /> Reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention No. 159(
<br /> of the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, passed the 16th da~
<br /> of November, 1925, for a bomplete description of the work herein men-
<br /> tioned, and to the list of unpaid assessments filed as above noted,
<br /> for the assessments unpaid.
<br />
<br /> And Whereas, interested persons were notified in the manner
<br /> required by law to appear ~efore the Board of Trustees of the said
<br /> City of Santa Ana, California, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall
<br /> of said City, at the houm of ?:30 o'clock P.M. of Monday, the 24th da
<br /> of May, 1926, and show cause why bonds should not be issued upon the
<br /> secumity of the unpaid assessments shown on said Street Superinten-
<br /> dent's list; and
<br />
<br /> Whereas, notice was duly given in the manner and form re-
<br />quired by law that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments bead-
<br />ing interest at the rate of six ($%) per cent per annum will be tssue~
<br />hereunder in the manner provided in the "Impr~ement Bond Act of 1915'
<br />the last installment of which bonds shall mature nine (9) years from
<br />the 2nd day of July, next succeeding ten (10} months from their date.
<br />
<br /> And all interested persons having appeared before this Boar
<br />of Trustees and having been given full ~pportunity to show cause why
<br />bonds should not be issued upon the security of the unpaid assessment
<br />shown on said list, and all objections presented having been heard an(
<br />considered;
<br />
<br /> Now Be It Resolved, that the Board of Trustees does hereby
<br />find and determine that no cause has been sh~n why bonds should not
<br />be issued upon the security of said unpaid assessments, and does here-
<br />by overrule all objections thereto, and does hereby direct the issuan,
