176 the surveyed center line of South Main Street to an intersection with the surveyed center line of Edinger Street; thence West along the sur- veyed center line of West Edfnger Street to a point 1ES feet West of the West line of South Main Street; thence North parallel to South Mai Street to an intersection with the sumveyed center line of West First Street; thence East along the surveyed center line of West 'and East First Street to the point of beginning. SECTION VI. The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa A~&, California, hereby orders that part of the cost and expenses of improve merit of the hereinbefore described portion of South Main Street, equal to and in the full sum of ten thousand ($10,000.00) dollars, but not exceeding the cost of the said improvement, shall be paid out of the treasury of the City of Santa Aha, from the General Fund of said City. The Street Superintendent, in making up the assessment for the cost and expenses'of said improvement shall first deduct from the whole cost, and expenses thereof the sum of ten thousand ($10,000.00) dollars, and shall, after any other deductions hereinafter in this Resolution ~rdered, assess the remainder of said costs and expenses upon the lots, parts of lots, and lands, liable to be assessed for suc! work, and in the manner provided by law, as is hereinbefore set forth in Section Iv. of this Resolution of Intention. The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana hereby orders that that part of the cost and expenses of the improvement of the here- inbefore described portion of street equal to and in the full sum of tar thousand ($10,000.00) dollars, but not exceeding the cost of said im- provement, over and above the sum of %en thousand ($10,0OO.O0) dollars hereinabove provided to be applied, shall be paid out of the treasury the City of Santa Aha from the General Fund of said City. TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING. SECTION VII. Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 23rd day of August, 1926, at 7:30 otclock P.M., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City of Santa Aha, any and all persons having s~ objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the said Board of Trustees and show cause why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with this Re~lutton. Any and all persons wishing to protest said improvement or the assessment dis- "trict, or both, should file with the City Clerk prior to the date hereir set forth a written protest. SECTION VIII. The Santa Ana Daily Evening Register, a daily newspaper published and circulated and of general circulation in the City of Santa Ana is hereby designated as the newspaper, and the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to cause this Resolution of Inten- tion to be published by two insertions, in said newspaper, in the manner
