RESOL~ION OF AWARD N0. 1909 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa'Ana, did in open session at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th day of March, 1928, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for water pipe and accessories for use by the City of Santa Aha, which bids called for bids on separate items. RESOLVED: ghat the City Council hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids for the hereinafter mentioned items except that next herein mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for the materials and accessories hereinafter spec- ified to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: BMI~H BOOTH USHER COMPANY, at the prices named in its bid as follows, to-wit: Item No. 64. 2- 20 inch valves with flanged ends 75 lb. working pressure (make) "Chapman" Fig. ~1, for the sum of $185.40 each. Item No. 67. 2 - 14 inch valves with hub ends, 75 lb. working pressure (make) "Chapman" Fig. 74, for the sum of $7V.55 each. Item No. 69. 1 - 12 inch Valve with flanged ends, 125 lb. working pressure sum of ~58.60 each. Item No. 72. 4 (make) "Chapman" Fig. 71, for the 10" valves with hub ends, 125 working pressure, each. lb. working pressure, "Chapman" Fig. 74, for the stm of $38.41 each. Item No. VS. 3 - 8" valves with hub ends, 125 lb. "Chapman" Fig. ~4, for the sum of $25.08 working each. Item No. 75. 2 - 4" Valves with hub ends 125 lbs. pressure, "Chapman" Fig. 74, for the sum of $8.10 All of A.W.W.A. Standard, and flanges drilled of that standard, all as per specifications accompanying bid of March 19, 19~8, all to be delivered at trench side within 4§ days from this award. Order extra specifications that complete sets of f~an~e bolts accompany the flanged valves. The a~regate of this award is $825.25. Said materials to be paid for upon delivery as herein provided, provided, however, that twenty-five percent (25%) of the contract price shall be withheld by the City of Santa Ana for a period of eight (8) months thereafter.
