IN THE ~IATTER OF COUNTY IMPROVE~ENT DISTRICT NO. 23 <br /> OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE. RESOL. NO. 2118. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING CONSENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SANTA ANA. <br /> <br /> ¥~EREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, did, on the 16th da <br /> of April, 1929, approve specifications for County Improvement District No. 23 for <br /> certain improvements to portions of California State Highway and other streets lying <br /> within unincorporated territory of the County of Orange, and; <br /> <br /> V~EREAS, the said Board of Supervisors did, on the 16th day of April, 1929, <br /> adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 23-C for certain improvements to portions of <br /> said streets and defining the boundaries of the proposed assessment district, and, <br /> <br /> V~EREAS, subsequent thereto, on the 28th day of May, 1929, the Secretary <br /> <br /> of State of the State of California issued to the City of Santa Ana a certificate <br /> covering the annexation of certain territory included within the boundaries of the pro- <br /> posed assessment district as described in said Resolution of Intention No. 23~C; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said City Council of the City of <br /> Santa Ana hereby finds and determines that the lands included within the following <br /> described boundaries, lying within the boundaries of the City of Santa Ana will be <br /> benefited by the said proposed improvement and hereby consents to the inclusion of said <br /> lands within the proposed assessment district and to the assessment therefor of the <br /> property therein, to-wit: <br /> <br /> That portion of land now lying within the City Limits of Santa Ana more part- <br /> icularly described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the Southwesterly line of the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad Company's 1©0 feet ]%ight-of-Way with the Westerly extended Northerly <br />line of that portion of the California .State Highway comm~only known as and called <br />-Chapman Avenue; thence Easterly along said Westerly extended Northerly line of said <br /> <br /> Chapman Avenue to an intersection with a line drawn parallel to and dista~$i~lVO feet <br /> Northeasterly from the Northeasterly llne of the aforesaid Southern Pacific Railroad <br /> Company's right-of-way; thence Southeasterly along said last mentioned line to an inter- <br /> section with a line drawn parallel to and distant 180 feet Southerly from the center lln. <br /> of the aforesaid Chapman Avenue; thence Westerly along said last mentioned line to an <br /> intersection with the Southwesterly line of the ~orcsaid Southern Pacific Railroad <br /> Company's right-Of-way; thence Northwesterly along said Southwesterly line of the <br /> Southern Pacific Railroad Company's right-of-way to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> That the consent of this City Council is hereby given to the completion of a <br /> proceeding for said proposed improvement Dy the legislative body of the County of Orange <br /> and to the exercise of exclusive ju~isdiction by said legislative body over all proceed- <br /> ings nece. ssary thereto for the purpose of consummating the same, all in accordance with <br /> the provisions of the "County Improvement Act of 1921", and all amendments thereto. <br /> <br /> That the Clerk of this City is hereby directed to certify and deliver a copy <br /> of this Resolution to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange. <br /> <br /> I hereby certify that the foregoing ~esolution was adopted by the City Council <br /> the City of Santa Aha at a regular meeting held on the ~th day of August, 1929, by the <br /> following vote of the members thereof: <br /> <br /> AYEs: Trustees: J.L.McBride, W.J.Kelly, Stanley E.
