driveways,'and the construction of Portland cement concrete curb~ along the curb lines of sai~
<br />street, and at xtreet intersections around curves to intersect the curb lines of said inter-
<br />secting streets and the construction of Portland cement concrete sidewalks along each side of
<br />said street, within said limits~ excepting from said.improvements that portion of said street
<br />to be occupied by a bridge to be constructed across Santiago Creek as hereinafter described~
<br />and further excepting such ~ortion of sai~ street as is required by law to be kept in order
<br />or repair by any person or company having railroad tracks thereon; also the improvement of
<br />said portion of Flower Street by the installation of an ornamental lighting system, consist-
<br />ing of'cast iron single lighting standards, including the connection to the existing system
<br />in Riverside Drive; and all other necessary appurtenances theret6, ~nd tho construction of a
<br />reinforced concrete bridge over Santiago Creek, the construction of a concrete pipe storm
<br />drain and all necessary appurtenances thereto from the bridge to be constructed a~ herein-
<br />before described to a point distant approximately 770 feet Northerly therefrom; the construct-
<br />ion of a reinforced concrete box culvert and all necessary appurtenances thereto across said
<br />street near the Southerly line of West Orange Roa~; the construction of vitrified clay pipe
<br />main sewer, vitrified clay pipe house connecting sewers, cast iron pipe syphon under Santiago
<br />Creek, and all other necessary appurtenances thereto; and ~he installation of cast iron pipe
<br />water main, copper pipe house services~ fire hydrants and all other necessary appurtenances
<br />thereto within the limits of said Flower Street as hereinbefore defined.

<br /> The i~prove~ent of that portion of Riverside Drive lying North of the center line
<br />thereof from the Easterly curb line of Flower Street to a line drawn parallel to and distant
<br />approximately sixty (80) feet Easterly therefrom shall consist of the grading and paving
<br />thereof with a Portland cement concrete pavement~ the construction of Portland cement concrete
<br />curb, and the construction of Portland cement concrete sidewal~ex~epting therefrom any
<br />portion thereof already improved to the official grade.
<br />
<br /> Reference is hereby made to the specifications, ~lans, profiles and detailed draw-
<br />ings for the above described work and improvement, approved by said City Council of the City
<br />of Shnta Aha, and on file in the Office of the Clerk of Said Cit~, for a full and detailed
<br />descript£on and location of said proposed work and improvement, and of the grades to which
<br />the ~ame is to be constructed; the notice of all persons affected is directed to the grades
<br />for the. proposed improvement and to the provisions of the Acquisition and Improvement Act of
<br />19~ as amended, relating to grades. Particular_notice is directe~ to the fact that
<br />substantial changes in the relation of the elevation of abutting property to that of said
<br />public ways as they will exist after being improved will result from the construction of the
<br />above mentioned improvements to the proposed grades.
<br />
<br /> That the work to be done as herein set forth shall include the furnishing of all
<br />labor, equipment and materials necessary for or appurtenant to the construction and completion
<br />of all work herein specified.
<br />
<br /> That for the installation and construction of the hereinbefore described lighting
<br />system certain patented articles will be used, and a license agreement between the ~estern
<br />Lighting Company, selling agents for King Company, General Electric Company, and Associated
<br />Wholesale Electric Company, and the City of Santa Ana, is now on file in the office of the
<br />City Clerk, to which said agreement reference is hereby made, and the same is made a part
<br />of this Resolution by reference, the same as though set forth in full herein.
<br />
<br /> Section .~. That the district of lands which will be benefited by said proposed
<br />acquisitions, ~ork and improvements, to be known as the "Assessment District" shall, as pro-
<br />posed, include all that territory in the said City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of
<br />California within the following described exterior boundary ~lines, to-wit:

<br /> All the lots, parcels and lands lying within the exterior boundary
<br />lines of the corporate limits of the said City ofSanta Ana 'as 'they exist upon
<br />the date of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, excepting all public
<br />streets or alleys within ~said boundaries.

<br /> Reference is hereby made to the map of said Assessment ~is~trict, approved by said
<br />City Council, 'and on file in the office of the Clerk of said City Council, which indicates by
<br />a boundary line the extent of the territory to be includgd in said proposed Assessment
<br />District, and which said map shall govern for all details as to the extent thereof.

<br /> · The said City Council of the City of Santa Ana further declares that the following
<br />lands included within said Assessment Distr~ct, and belonging to the City of Santa Ana, the
<br />County of Orange, or the Santa Ana Board of Education, as hereinafter specified, shall be
<br />omitted from the said district and from the levy and collection ~f ~he special assessment
<br />taxes hereafter to be levied and collected to cover the expenses of the said acquisitions
<br />and improvements, and it is further determined that such lands arg in use in the performance
<br />of a ~ublic function, which lands are particularly described as ~ollpws, to-wit:
