RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2146 A RESOLUTION 0F THE CITY COL~CIL 0F THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DECLARING T~IR INTENTION TO ORDER Tt~E INSTALL~TION AND CONSTRUCTION OF AN 0RN~ENTAL LIGHTING SYST~.~ THE PAVING AND 0TH~RWISE IMPROVING OF PORTIONS OF FLOWER STREET~ NINETEENTH STREET~ ItELIOTROPE DHIVE~ GREEN- LEAF STREET, SANTA CL~IA AVENUE, VICTORIA DRIVE, SEVENTEENTH STREET, ROSS STREET AND NORTH PARK BOULE~ID~ DECLARING THE SAID WORK AND IMPROVEMENT TO BE OF KORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENEFIT; DECLARING THE DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED THEREBY AND TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COSTS AND EXPENSES TNEREOF; DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESenT SAID COSTS AND EXPENSES AND FIXING THE TII~ AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO SAID WORK 0R IEPR0~E~NT~ OR TO THE EXTENT OF THE DISTRICT TO BE ASSESS~D~ OR BOTH. The City Council of the City of Santa Aha, pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments to said acts, do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience requires and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana to order the construction of the following work and improvement in said City, to-wit: That the portions of streets in the City of Santa Ana upon which work shall be done and improvements made as hereinafter set forth shall be upon a~d along those open public streets cormuonly known as and called Flower Street from the Southerly line of Seventeenth Street to a line drawn at right angles to the center line of said Flower Street and distant ll$O feet Northerly from the center line of Santa Clara Avenue, Nineteenth Street from a line dra~rn pa~allel to and distant l~ feet Westerly from the Westerly line of Flower Street to the Westerly line of Broadway; Heliotrope Drive from the Southerly line of Seventeenth S~reet to a line dr~wn at right angles to the ~enter line of said Heliotrope Drive and dmstant 91.8S feet Northerly from the center lmne of Nineteenth Street; Greenleaf Street from the center l~ne of Seventeenth Street to the Southerly line of Santa Clara AvenMe; Santa Clara Avenue from the Northerly extended Testerly line of Greenleaf Street as said Greenleaf Street exists Southerly from Santa Clara Avenue to the Northerly extended Easterly line of Victoria Drive; Santa Clara Avenue from the Easterly line of Flower Street to a line drawn parallel to and distant 80 feet Easterly from the center line of Flower Street; Ross Street from the Southerly line of Santa Clara Avenue to a line drav~n parallel to and distant 180 feet Southerly from the Southerly line of Santa Clara Avenue; Ross Street from the Northerly line of Nineteenth Street to a line drawn parallel to and distant l~0 feet Northerly from the Northerly line of Nineteenth Street; Victoria Drive from the Southerly line of Santa C~ara Avenue to a line drawn parallel to and distant l~0 ~eet Southerly from the Southert line of Santa Clara Avenue; Victoria Drive from the Northerly line of Nineteenth Street to a line dra~rn parallel to and distant l~O feet Northerly from the Northerly line of Nineteenth Street; the Southwesterly one-half of North Park Boulevard between the Easterl line of Flower Street and a line dragon parallel to and distant ~0 f~t Easterly from the said Easterly line of Flower Street; th~ Northerly one-half of Seventeenth Street betwee the center line of Gr~enleaf Str~et and a line dra~rn at right angles to the center line of said Seventeenth Street and distant 00 feet Westerly from the intersection of the center line of said Seventeenth Street with the center line of Heliotrope Drive; the Northerly one-half of Seventeenth Street between lines drawn parallel to and distant S~ feet Easterly and ~$ feet Westerl~ respectively~ from the center line of Flower Street~ That the work to be done and improvements to be made upon and along the herein- before described portions of streets in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Engineer .shall be as follows: The fur~ishing, installation and construction of an ornamental lighting system complete upon all of the hereinbefore described portions of streets, together with the necessary appurtenances to said lighting system, including the installation of cast iron single lighting standards, lighting ~its, lamps, globes, wiring, potheads, concrete foundations, cables, conduits, connections to service points and to existing systems~ excepting, however, the Easterly one-half of Flower Street betv~en Santa Clara Avenue and North Park Boulevard~ and also the ~esterly one-half of said street between North Park Boulevard and a line drawn at right angles to the center line of Flower Street and distant 881 feet Northerly from the Westerly extended Southerly line of Santa Clara Avenue, and also the exception that on the above described portions of Ross Street~ Victoria Drive and Seventeenth Street cable and conduit only shall be installed for the purpose of completing the circuit, all am particularly indicated on and in accordance with the plans and specifications hereinafter mentioned; and the replacement or repair of all paving, curbs, sidewalks, culvert, conduit, pipe line or sewer cut or damaged during the construction of said lighting system~ which replacement or repair shall be done in a good wor~anlike manner, under the direction of the Street Superintendent, in accordance with the standard specifications for the class of work being replace or ~epaired, which replacement or repair shall be considered as incidental to the work and improvements hereinbefore mentioned, and no additional compensation shall be &llowed therefor. That the hereinbefore described portions of Flower Street, Heliotrope Drive~ North Park Boulevard, that portion of Nineteenth Street between a line drawn parallel to and distant l~ feet Westerly from the Westerly line of Flower Street and the Westerly line of Greenleaf, the Westerly one-half of Greenleaf Street~ between lines drawn parallel to and distant $0 feet Northerly and ~0 feet Southerly respectively from the center line of Nineteenth Street, that portion of Santa C~a Avenue~ between the Easterl line of Flower Street and a line chra~m parallel to and distant ~0 feet Easterly from the center line of Flower Street, the Northerly one-half of Seventeenth Street adjacent to Flower Street and being between lines drawn parallel to and distant S8 fe~t Easterly and ~8 feet Westerly, respectively, from the center line of Flower Street, the Northerly one-half of Seventeenth Street adjacent to Heliotrope Drive, and being between lines drawn at right angles to the center line of said Seventeenth Street and distant $0 feet Easterly and ~0 feet Westerly, respectively, from the intersection of the center line of
